Cozy clean property in great location!!

5 of 5
We highly recommend this place! The place was very clean with newly renovated bathrooms as shown in the pictures. The property is nicely furnished and so cozy to just stay in and relax. The owners provided us with a set of clean bath towels in each bedroom. We brought a lot of kitchen utensils, but it was unnecessary; the kitchen had more than essential kitchen utensils such as a lobster pot and baking pans, all of which seemed brand new. There is an outside grill (gas) available. A farm stand and Walmart are conveniently located nearby. There is a public beach on Saco River within 5-10 min from the property. (FYI: this beach has a basketball court and a tennis court!) But the front yard of this property is nice, quiet and large enough for the grownups to hang out and relax while watching the kids run around and play. The owners were very nice and helpful. We forgot our iPod, but the owners immediately mailed it to us once they found it. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and the hospitality of the owners!!

Perfect, Perfect, Perfect!

5 of 5
We enjoyed everything about this vacation and home, from start to finish. Our correspondence with Karen throughout the whole process was warm, friendly, professional, helpful and so thoughtful! The house is perfect in every way. It has the charm of an old farm house, yet the size and the modern amenities to make it very comfortable. It has the wonderful New Hampshire get-away house feel (and smell - ahhh) that I remember so fondly from my childhood vacations to Franconia. The house was perfect in size, too. We brought a blended family of 5 (3 teenagers!) and everyone had enough space and privacy, but also many opportunities for cozy moments of family time. I love to cook, and the kitchen is spacious and had everything I needed to make dinner every night. Loved it! The house is in the perfect location. We couldn't believe that we were on main street - just a short walk from the town - because it still felt removed from everything and felt very much like a retreat from the noise and hustle of every day life. Also, It is just a 10 or 15-minute drive to the Notch and all the things to see: Cannon Mountain, the Flume, the Basin, etc. Another thing I loved about the house was the thoughtfulness that Karen and her family put into the whole experience. I was so grateful for the clear instructions and labels on everything, for the binders with info about the area, for the games that were available to play, and for the way everything was set up so perfectly for our enjoyment. I marveled at the energy and forethought that they put into in. I have already recommended this house to friends and family and I will continue to do so! I would love to stay again and again! Thank you, Karen!!!

Highly Recommended!

5 of 5
From the first email with Linda, I was able to tell that this experience would be memorable. I couldn't have asked for better hosts. The cottage was clean, well stocked, an abundance of toys for children of all ages and by far the most beautiful home I have ever stayed at in NH. It accommodated our group of 3 families quite nicely. The home is minutes away from EVERYTHING. The short walk to the bakery was perfect for that sweet treat in the afternoon. Having a Shaw's less than a mile away... was convenient considering we have a total of 5 growing boys ranging from 2-12! Saco River was a great time/place to bring the kids to cool down on the hot days. I could go on and on, but you just have to experience this home for yourself. Thanks again to Linda and Jay for renting us your home and excellent hospitality! I hope the boys weren't a bother to you. Hope to see you again.
