Instead of crowding into a hotel room, we (family of 3) were lucky enough to stay in a large cabin with all the amenities! We stargazed from the deck, watched rabbits nibble the clover, grilled on the screenporch, and fished from the river down the road. It was a quiet location, but close to the the Flume, Cannon, Bretton Woods, Story Land, Santa's Village, etc. It was exactly as described, with modern appliances and very comfortable furnishings and decor. The owner suggested a few places to visit and some restaurants, and everything we tried was a hit. Though we visited in summer, I can see it being an ideal ski retreat, given its large tiled mudroom entry and space for storing gear.
We were so pleased to stay in a home like this.
