Back in March of this year a friend of mine’s milestone birthday was coming up quickly and we were looking to make it a one of kind celebration. We decided on a weekend getaway to New Hampshire, a trip we as a group had taken before and very much enjoyed. We knew that we wanted to stay in the same general area as we had previously, the White Mountains, it’s was the perfect distance to feel like you were getting away from our busy day to day lives but could still be connected.
When I showed the listing for the Bretton woods log home our first thought was it was too good to be true. A brand new custom log home with enough beds for the eight of us and included amenities to keep ourselves entertained in case the weather took a turn for the worse. The home was almost better than described. From the huge master bedroom with the king size bed, private deck, and big screen tv to the beautifully crafted open concept living room/dining/kitchen area with its center piece two sided fireplace.
The only issues with the home, if you can call them issues, were that because the home was so new and this years winter was one of the worst ones we’d experienced in years, the yard was still entirely dirt and wood from the recent construction was still piled in the driveway. Both of these are very quick fixes that didn’t hinder our experience whatsoever and both items that the owner informed us of prior to our arrival. Other than those minor things everything about the home was picture perfect.
Working with the home’s owner was breeze. From the beginning Mike was extremely respondent to all questions about our stay and during our stay even more so. Letting us know where items were in the home or how to turn something on if we needed to. I would without a doubt work with Mike again.
If you’re looking for a unique relaxing getaway, the Bretton Woods log cabin would be fantastic choice that I would recommend to everyone.
