                RELAXING LAKE HOUSE

                5 of 5
Our first time to New Hampshire for a friends getaway and we found ourselves on Lower Beech Pond for Memorial Day weekend. The house was exceptionally clean, fully stocked with all the essentials, and the beds were undeniably comfortable! Carl and Erika take very good care of this place and it shows. Unfortunately, it rained pretty much our entire weekend but that didn't stop us from enjoying ourselves. We explored Wolfeboro, had lunch at El Centenario and grabbed coffee from Downtown Grill- the best Blueberry Cobbler Latte I have ever had! We even had to stop to grab lattes on our way to the airport they were so good. The sun came out for a little each day and we were able to sneak in two hikes. We hiked the Italian Trail on Mt. Shaw one day and the White Ledge Trail in the White Mountains another. The White Ledge Trail was an amazing hike with spectacular views from 2,000 ft elevation. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for some great adventure. My friend even carried her 9 month old baby the entire 4.2 miles! Make sure to pack lots of snacks and water. We enjoyed cooking breakfast and dinner together at the cabin, using the grill, playing ping pong and we even played a very intense game of pictionary. I can't imagine how much more beautiful this place would be with warm, sunny weather! We would love to come back one year and actually enjoy swimming in the lake. Thanks Carl and Erika!

                NICE WEEKEND GET-A-WAY

                4 of 5
My wife and I recently spent a weekend at this home. It was obvious that the owners were new to renting, but they were honest and pleasant to deal with. Although it is a bit of a work in progress, the home was extremely clean, newly furnished and very cozy with the wood stove warming us nicely. I understand more decorating and a bath updating is coming soon so we plan to return this Summer. I can only imagine how nice it will be sitting on the dock which is just a short walk away. Even in the Winter, the view from the dock was beautiful….but cold! Owners were very helpful with restaurant ideas, and answered the phone when I had a quick question to ask. Can't wait to enjoy nearby Wolfboro when more of the shops are open during the Summer season. We have already recommended this home to some friends who may take it for back to back weeks with us in August. Although it is not right on the lake front, our boat will be able to stay on the homes dock and it is a very short walk away. See you this Summer!

We spent the hottest week of this summer at this great property. We were 17 people, ranging in ages from 83 to 1. It was fabulous! The pictures depict the houses perfectly and the property is extremely well-maintained. The Main House is classic lake style (think "On Golden Pond"). This easily slept 10 people. The 4 little boys loved the bunk room. The dining space was a bit tight when all 17 of us wanted to eat together but we got around it by feeding the kids first. The guest house slept another 4 of us. One person is wheel-chair bound and this house (and one bedroom/bathroom) is all on one level and worked fine (with just a few steps into the house). The carriage house slept the remainder of the group. The front porch, overlooking the lake, was the favorite spot, all of us lined up in our rockers, cocktails in hand. The docks provided great fishing spots for the kids and the beach for swimming was great too. The house does face west, so the afternoon sun got the house a bit hot. With no air conditioning in the Main House, maybe some blinds in the dining room windows would help filter sun when needed. The guest house has a/c but we never used it. Leaving the windows open seemed sufficient. The carriage house has a Ping-Pong table and the guys spent many after-dinner hours in rowdy games. Both kitchens are extremely well-stocked w/ everything you could need. Loads of outdoor room for the kids to play or bike ride down the long drive-way. The realtor was very accommodating, allowing us to check out the property during the off-season to assess its wheel-chair accessibility. Our security deposit was returned in full in 30 days, along with a lunch cooler bag we had left behind. When asked what the best part of the vacation was, my 9 year old nephew summed it up simply - "Everything!" Wish we could do this every summer.
