Can't wait to return next year!!

5 of 5
We just returned from our wonderful week at Lower Beech Pond. This lake house was everything that was promised by Carl and Erika. The house was very clean and comfortable, the beds comfortable, the wood floors beautiful, and the kitchen easy to work in. The wall of sliding glass doors overlooking the water open to beautiful breezes and a great view. It was as quiet as promised, which was a wonderful change from normal life, and made sleeping easy. We didn't see one mosquito for the entire week. Right down the street is a public (limited to association members and guests) beach area that is easier for small children and older people to use - and we used both. We had one rain day, and enjoyed the big screen TV in the living room, the ping pong table and board games. Downtown Wolfeboro is a short ride through beautiful countryside, and we enjoyed the shopping and ice cream cones with the lake view. My daughter found several gorgeous blouses at great prices, and the antique stores were especially fun. One evening, we drove to Moultonborough and had a live Jazz-trio dinner at Castle in the Clouds on the rose covered stone patio. We have already recommended this vacation rental to two different friends, and I know they'd have a great time. Carl was very honest and great to communicate with via email. Thank you again, and we hope to see you again next year!! Mary, Reilly, Laurena and Joann

Wonderful Property

5 of 5
Our family recently spent two weeks at this property. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! We loved the location, the house, and the owners could not have been more helpful. They have done many updates to this house which makes it very comfortable and easy to live in. The house was extremely clean when we arrived which was a wonderful start to our two weeks. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and the grill was perfect. The house is decorated very tastefully and comfortably. The dock is a short walk and is wonderful to swim and kayak from as well as to enjoy the water or happy hour! The several neighbors who share this dock are very nice and we enjoyed talking with them. We loved the location...a bit out but easy to get to Wolfeboro and many of the local sites. The owners were extremely helpful before, during, and after our stay. They answered all of our questions and supplied lots of great information about the area. We highly recommend this property and would definitely return.

Great 4 generations' vacation!

5 of 5
We spent the hottest week of this summer at this great property. We were 17 people, ranging in ages from 83 to 1. It was fabulous! The pictures depict the houses perfectly and the property is extremely well-maintained. The Main House is classic lake style (think "On Golden Pond"). This easily slept 10 people. The 4 little boys loved the bunk room. The dining space was a bit tight when all 17 of us wanted to eat together but we got around it by feeding the kids first. The guest house slept another 4 of us. One person is wheel-chair bound and this house (and one bedroom/bathroom) is all on one level and worked fine (with just a few steps into the house). The carriage house slept the remainder of the group. The front porch, overlooking the lake, was the favorite spot, all of us lined up in our rockers, cocktails in hand. The docks provided great fishing spots for the kids and the beach for swimming was great too. The house does face west, so the afternoon sun got the house a bit hot. With no air conditioning in the Main House, maybe some blinds in the dining room windows would help filter sun when needed. The guest house has a/c but we never used it. Leaving the windows open seemed sufficient. The carriage house has a Ping-Pong table and the guys spent many after-dinner hours in rowdy games. Both kitchens are extremely well-stocked w/ everything you could need. Loads of outdoor room for the kids to play or bike ride down the long drive-way. The realtor was very accommodating, allowing us to check out the property during the off-season to assess its wheel-chair accessibility. Our security deposit was returned in full in 30 days, along with a lunch cooler bag we had left behind. When asked what the best part of the vacation was, my 9 year old nephew summed it up simply - "Everything!" Wish we could do this every summer.
