Adorable cottage & perfect Vacation on Silver Lake

5 of 5
We had a wonderful stay at George's property on Silver Lake. Everything was perfect and hospitality/service was more than we could have imagined. The cottage is adorable/very clean/well maintained and had everything we needed(our son was excited to learn of the wifi). We especially loved the front porch, dock with float and the old library of Reader's Digest(years gone by). We enjoyed many hours admiring the wildlife (many species of birds and especially the resident and visiting Loons)! Kayaking, swimming and hiking are among our favorite activities and a trip to the Loon Center in Moultonborough is always on our list. We enjoyed a gourmet meal at The Snow Village Inn with an amazing view of the Presidential Range. We also visited the Crystal Lake Inn/Palmer House Pub, one of our favorites spots in the area and we highly recommend the pizza at the Yankee Smokehouse in Ossipee. Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise with us! We will definitely be back and will recommend to friends and relatives.

Best Place for Kids

5 of 5
Stayed here for a week with 5 adults and 5 small children. Family voted best place we've ever stayed. The house is very comfortable and the beach area is perfect for small children. There is plenty of space to play in shallow water, a lovely sanded area, and the water is very clean. And there was plenty of shade for the adults on duty to sit and watch the kids. Tons of sand and water toys available. As stated, stairs are very steep, but even our 3 3-year-olds managed well. Kitchen provided everything needed, many staples were available. Close enough to Conway for shopping and movies. Plenty of parking, quiet location, and unequaled sunsets. My only suggestion would be that if you have small children, and they are sleeping upstairs, invest in a $12 potty chair at Walmart. Saves navigating the stairs in the middle of the night. Loved the fact that they provided the linens and towels. This place truly had everything we were looking for, and we had a great week.
