Just Perfect

5 of 5
My brother and I were looking for a place to get away for a week and visit with family in the area. This cottage was just perfect. A great place to unwind after day trips around the area. Beautiful scenery up and down the coast. Everything we wanted was right there in the cottage. Only a mile away from Petey's Seafood restaurant was an added bonus..... great chowder.

Great stay!~

5 of 5
This is a great little cottage, so nice to be right across the street to the beach, general store 2 doors down for last minute items. Owner on site and available for anything you need. Would love to come back again!

Sweet beach cottage, perfect location!

5 of 5
We stayed here for a week with our two kids (6 and 8 y/o) and it was perfect! Joe was so nice. He made us feel like family and had everything clean and ready for our stay including beach chairs, umbrella, sand toys and a cart to transport it all to the beach. One of the best features of the cottage was the outdoor shower, great for rinsing the sand after a day at the beach. The rocky beach just across the way was the best for exploring tide pools and it was a short 5-7 min. walk through the neighborhood to the sandy state beach (which is not as crowded as some of the other beaches south of here). The cottage is cozy, but fit us all just fine with one kid sleeping in the loft and the other on the foldout loveseat. The kitchen had plenty of supplies for cooking meals in. There was a closet and dresser for storage as well as a cupboard for food. The a/c was nice for humid days, but we hardly needed it with the ocean breeze. The pool is clean and not heated, but that didn't stop the kids from going in. The cottage is located in a quiet and peaceful area. And it's location was great for visiting nearby Portsmouth where we had a delicious (and pricey) lobster meal at Surf. We also stopped at Fort Constitution in New Castle. And for rainy days there's tons to do including the Seacoast Science Center, candle-pin bowling (only in New England!), and the outlet stores in Kittery, ME. All in all, we loved this place and plan to return next time we are in NH.
