Great Place for your White Mountain Get Away

5 of 5
We had a lovely stay at this property in Mid October. The back deck has a beautiful view (especially with the changing leaves) - and is also a great place to hang out in good weather. The kitchen is very well stocked (we cooked most meals) and the house was clean upon arrival with plenty of towels and linens. Location is great if you want to go hiking/fishing and is within an hour of many area attractions. The house is very private but also close enough to amenities (groceries) so it's not a hassle. The owner is very helpful and available if needed. We have a 1 and three year old and the house is great for kids with a gate on the stairs, a high chair, and pack and plays provided. (And a tree house!) During ou stay we enjoyed hikes in Franconia Notch, Rattle Snake Mtn (great view and maybe 1/4 mile from house), lots of Appalachian trail spots, and the base of Rumney Rocks to watch the climbers. Good fishing in Stinson lake, Baker River (right at the house), and Newfound Lake. We also spent an afternoon in Littleton (antiques/local artists, candy store, toy store, restaurants), had a fantastic dinner at the Sugar Hill Inn (kids not appropriate), took the cog railway up Mt Washington, and went to a fair in Lincoln. Would definitely consider staying again!

Beautiful, clean, tasteful and friendly

5 of 5
Last summer, as Appalachian Mountain Club Climbing Committee, we chose this place as accommodation during our annual Rumney trip. It couldn't be better. We had a great time with large kitchen, beautiful porch (some of us actually slept in the porch while it was raining and it was a great experience), great music and books selection. The proximity to cliffs was the best part! The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. We loved this place and we want to come back every year!
