Family friendly amenities and easy reservations

4 of 5
The property manager, Kerri, was wonderful to work with...very responsive and friendly through email correspondence. Payment was accepted through paypal and keys were easily accessible. We've stayed in other units at AMV over the years (usually in the Fall) and love this resort, albeit it could use some updating in certain areas. It's very family-friendly with plenty of activities for all ages, especially with Attitash Mt. across the street. This was our first time in Bldg. 7 which was perfect for our children. In the lower level, there's a game room (with a couple of coin-operated video arcades + foosball, vending machine, separate ping pong room, fitness room, locker rooms, and hot tub). Across the parking lot is the outdoor communal pool + hot tub, covered bbq area, and lovely bath house. There's also a small swing set and sand box for children. The path to the Saco River is behind the outdoor pool, which we hiked to collect rocks at the river. Kerri's 7-G unit was clean, as described, and well-equipped for our needs. My 5y/o enjoyed watching the Conway train pass by in the backyard and waving to the passengers (the train travels slow and is really not loud or rumbly). The unit is on the first floor, immediately off of the main lobby, but the balcony on the backside is raised off the ground (not a walk-out). We didn't have any problems with noise from neighbors, but the doors were, either, a bit thin or because of the unit's location, we could hear anything going on in the main lobby. The Murphy Bed and sleeper sofa were fine...there's even more room for an inflatable mattress when all the beds were open. We used the breakfast bar + stools for most meals. We didn't use the dinner table as it's in a tight spot for the 5 of us. We enjoy watching a good movie together, so the flat screen was great, but would've loved some more comfortable lounge seating. The unit could probably use some new linens in the storage closet too...we left a note indicating that there's was only 1 extra pillow case and one of the sheets had a hole in it (likely from having to stretch it over the metal bars of the sleep sofa). We bought our own detergent and washed the linens in the w/d. We also left a gratuity in the envelope (for housekeeping). Thanks for a great stay!

Nice place and close to attractions

We rented for the first time in the area. The cottage was just what you see in the pictures. It was clean, has small kitchenette (stove, sink, fridge) and utensils for the grille on your own deck. Minutes from Weirs beach. View of the lake was good.

perfect little get-a-way

5 of 5
This condo was all this family of 5 needed for a spontaneous mid-winter break. We knew ahead of time that it slept 4, but with the owners permission, we brought along an air mattress for a cozy fit for our 3 grown children. All we needed was a place to relax and sleep after a days skiing. It was a luxury to be walking distance to the slopes, but our tired legs had us calling for a ride back! We relaxed more than once at one of 2 hot tubs on site as well as swam in the in-door pool. Although we didn't utilize it, the clubhouse has an arcade with an ample sitting area for an option to relax in outside the condo. We brought along some meals and yes! even used the oven. There wasn't one thing we needed that we didn't find in the fully supplied kitchen. A short winter scenic ride to North Conway was perfect for enjoying a dinner out. There are many options for dining out in NC. However, if a drive is not what you want, the on-site restaurant and pub are perfect for a closer option. The front desk even has movies to sign out if your looking to relax in for the night! We camp just South of NC in the summer, so it was a special treat to meander around town in the midst of a snow kissed town. The owners were very willing to assist us with questions about our trip planning. We highly recommend this unit for rental! Thank you Kelley and Craig.
