The perfect location for our 50 year anniversary

5 of 5
This home was all that it was advertised to be. Linda and Jay are the nicest people and we felt right at home as soon as we arrived. It was clean, neat and well equipped with everything we could possibly need over our week's stay. We came to North Conway to celebrate our 50th Wedding anniversary and my 70th birthday and could not have asked for a more perfect centering point for the 23 family members who were to celebrate with us. Two families stayed in the campground next door, one in a local motel and the other with us in the farmhouse. The time around the campfire on the property is a time I will never forget - our hosts were so generous to allow the family to visit and to play. There were even toys for the young ones. We totally recommend this farmhouse to anyone who wants to rest, explore the mountains, shop or enjoy the local attractions. And we feel we have found new friends in the very sweet and hard-working Linda and Jay!

Great vacation!

5 of 5
We visited this great area to hike Mount Washington and the rental was perfect. We had 7 people and the house easily accommodated the group. Proximity to great shopping, quaint town of North Conway and of course, great hiking and mountain climbing made this a great pick for us!

Great place to stay!

4 of 5
We stayed here a week with 9 adults and 2 children. We had an overall great experience here. When we first arrived we were a little concerned because there was leftover laundry in piles in the kitchen from a previous renter and NO detergent (totaled 6 loads which was not too thrilling to have to do with my own detergent on my first day of vacation) Also, the heated indoor pool was more than 10 degrees cooler than it should have been. But, after contacting the owners via telephone, they were great about correcting what ended up being a scheduling error with the cleaning company and they came out the next day to clean (supplied with toilet paper, paper towels, detergent and dish soap) and the owner came to fix the pool (after offering to come THAT NIGHT, too!). The place was very welcoming and cozy. The fireplace was a big hit. The pros were: Sleeps up to 16 people, had a great sauna, indoor heated pool, TV's in every room including a nice HD tv in the living room with tons of channels as well as an HD tv in the dining room, in a quiet location, had plenty of bed linens, nice kitchen with dishwasher and coffee maker, big dining table (but would just about fit our 11 people after adding 3 folding chairs), had plenty of parking, we loved the pool table, had a washer and dryer in the kitchen, and was overall a lovely place. The owner's were amazing! The cons were: the beds were kind of uncomfortable, there wash't enough room for everyone to sit comfortably around the fire in the living room (9 adults, 2 kids), the grill was hard to cook with (but it was great to have a grill! especially because it was covered from the rain outside ), and there were no wine glasses lol. Also, there wasn't a recycling option so I was sad to see a lot of bottles and papers get thrown in the trash. We tried to keep the recycling to bring home but we could barely fit our luggage on the ride home. I would recommend bringing your own towels, too. They supply bath towels but there aren't enough for everyone to have. Definitely bring beach towels for the pool! We are already talking about staying there again!
