Fantastic Treetop Views

5 of 5
Wow! My husband and I really loved our six day Fall stay here in the mountains just outside of Bristol NH. The apartment has beautiful cherry floors with high quality furniture, a super comfortable bed and a nice kitchen nook. There are lots of plush towels and everything was very clean. The views are fantastic from three sides of the great room, one overlooking the falls and the other two overlooking the mountain ranges. You feel like you are in the tree tops! We would stay here again just for the views, with the beautiful interior being an added benefit! Upon our request, Vinny gave us several suggestions on places to visit. We enjoy hiking so our first visit was to Wellington State Park along Newfound Lake. There is a beautiful flat 1.5 mile hike from the boat launch to the beach along the shore. Just outside the park is are steeper trails up to a mountain pond with evidence of much beaver activity. Sculptured Rocks Geologic Site is a beautiful roadside stop, with a nice trail available for further hiking. Cardigan Mountain State Park hiking is not for the faint of heart. What an amazing view after climbing up the granite lined trail! We also took two day trips, one to the coast and up into Maine, and the other was north into the White Mountains. Don't miss the Kancamagus Highway with many scenic stops and hiking options. Don't hesitate to stay here, just make sure to give yourself plenty of time to explore. You will love it! (Just FYI- the shower is in the bedroom, with a separate half bath, which may be a consideration for more than 2 people.)

Lovely house

5 of 5
The house was perfect for our fall weekend vacation- beautiful area, lots of comfy couches, and nice and warm. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the space is flexible enough to accomodate a crowd- we had three couples and a baby, and there was room to spare. Heather was very responsive and helpful (perhaps most important of all). We'd love to come back to experience the place in summer too!
