A Wonderful place for our family vacation!

              5 of 5
First of all I want to say that our family had the Most Wonderful vacation! My husband and I arrived first and were pleasantly surprised that the house and location was exactly as Roger described, not always the way when renting. Our daughters, spouses, 2 grandbabies, and 2 dogs arrived after we were settled. They were all as pleased as we were. The location across from Gansy Island was so private we felt like we were the only ones on the lake! There was not a boat we did not use, our kids all especially loved taking the rowboat out to fish, although only a few fish were caught. My husband and I enjoyed the canoe, especially first thing in the morning when the lake was still. Our daughter's chocolate lab, Rudy, could not get enough of the water. He would have been in all day if we let him. We ate our meals in every night, everything was there that could possibly be needed. We bought great chowder from the little stand down the road, Barts. Would definitely recommend and go there again.. Only made a few runs to the store, also a great farm down the road where we bought veggies corn on the cob, and delicious pie. The layout of the house was perfect, plenty of room to be together and plenty of space at the same time. The deck was so relaxing in the morning with coffee. I especially loved rocking with my grandbabies in the hammock, a few good naps were had in it! I can't say enough good, we loved every minute of our stay. Everything we could possibly need from cook ware to outdoor activities was right there, We are already planning to go back next year, hopefully making it our family's new yearly vacation spot! Thank you Roger and Claire for sharing your wonderful lake house!

              Great Vacation Spot!

              5 of 5
The Kona Boathouse was a great location for our recent vacation. The 100 year old Boathouse has such rich history and wonderfully unique leaded glass windows. I took a ridiculous amount of pictures. The peer was a great spot to park our boat and wet a line, trying to catch the Biggest Largemouth Bass we had ever seen. The beach would be great for a family with younger children, but we also enjoyed relaxing with cocktails on it while watching the sunset. The Boathouse has so much room, that we plan on coming back next year with family and friends. The highlight of our trip was seeing a Moose swim across the lake, get off at the peer and walk right past the Boathouse! Priceless! Lastly, the owners, especially Brian, went out of their way to make sure that our visit was enjoyable and that all of our needs were met. They welcomed us into the Kona Mansion Inn and shared pictures and stories about the great Mansion, the Boathouse and the history of the area. They made us feel like family. I would recommend the Kona Boathouse to anyone who would like to reconnect with a little slice of history, boat and fish on one of the most beautiful lakes in the country, enjoy time with family and friends and truly relax!

              5 of 5
we enjoyed a wonderful week at the lake home in Moultonborough - 3 bedroom, 2 bath ranch has lots of room and wonderful access to Lake Winnipesaukee - we enjoyed kayaking and watching sunsets on the dock - there is hiking at near by trails, Castle In The Clouds and shopping at near by Wolfeboro - the home was very clean and had all the comforts - we plan on making it a annual trip - R&L Hooksett, NH
