Beautiful farmhouse

5 of 5
This was really an amazing place to stay with friends over the holidays. The space is warm and the kitchen is great for cooking and entertaining. It was a bit challenging to get ahold of Michele but when we did, she was really pleasant and welcoming.

Wonderful place to relax!

5 of 5
The house (it's just too big to call a cabin) was absolutely wonderful - it was big enough to be spacious, but a very cozy set up. Fireplace(s), beds, tub with jets - it was pure comfort for a lazy weekend of relaxing. Freezing rain, so we can't really comment on the outdoors, but the views and covered porch were lovely. Kitchen is good size, excellent for all the cooking we did. Maybe a few more dishtowels would be good, but plenty of utensils, and enough cookware to get by. I'm not sure why people said it's hard to find - we came after dark, and just paid attention to the numbers on the mailboxes as we approached. You can pretty much see it from the road.

Perfect Autumn Retreat

5 of 5
When my husband and I travel, we like to stay in homes rather than hotel rooms. Our stay at Highland Lake was one of the best rentals we have ever had. The house, although spacious, was also cozy enough for two people. The comfort, cleanliness and appearance of the interior of the house far exceded our expectations.Whether sitting on the dock or on the screened porch, it was so relaxing we never wanted to leave. We will definitely be back. A big thank you to the Wrights for going above and beyond the call of duty to make our stay exceptional!
