Absolutely a perfect place to vacation!

                      5 of 5
This was our fourth time staying at the Covert over the last 6 years and once again we were completely satisfied. We live in Louisiana but our parents are originally from New Hampshire and therefore the majority of our family lives in that area. We are a family of 6 girls and when we visit we have at least 3 of the six families with us and our dad so we need the space to not only house the troupe we bring but to have plenty of room to entertain as well. The cabin is rustic, hardy and secluded enough that we never disturb anyone with our gatherings. We are usually there for a 2 week period and the Covert has everything we need to feel like we are at home. The family that visits us while we are there always comment on what a perfect set up this is for our needs and how much they enjoy the cabin when they visit. Special thanks to Mr. Richard for checking in on us when we are there and attending to our needs. Looking forward to visiting again next summer!!

                      wonderful experience

                      5 of 5
We stayed at the Sunnyside farmhouse with our 2 kids ages 2 and 5 and the grandparents, and had a great time! We really enjoyed being close up with the animals (I especially loved waking up to see the cows grazing just outside our window, and our kids especially loved the pigs). I liked teaching them where our food comes from and we all learned more about sustainable farming. As a family run inn and farm, we felt very welcomed. Thank you, Jackie and Caitlin! The farmhouse was clean and it was nice to cook most of our meals in the kitchen. We bought chickens and beef raised there on the farm to cook and enjoy! A specialty local market and a bigger supermarket are close by. Our kids also really liked the little playground. The view from the farmhouse of the hills dotted with color and the pastures was beautiful. Alyson's apples being right next door was fantastic. We did a lot of apple picking. Location wise, I was so pleased. Being from the west coast, I had no idea what to expect, but Walpole is such a cute, quintessential New England town and the Monadnock region is just ideal for viewing fall foliage. Though we were told it wasn't a great year for colors, it was still so beautiful. We didn't have to travel very far to see covered bridges, visit an organic dairy farm or go hiking. You can go on a beautiful hike right on the farm's property, in fact! In addition, you have easy access to VT as Walpole lies right along the Connecticut river. If we had more time and the hurricaine hadn't taken out some of the roads, we definitely would've spent more time in VT as well. Bottom line, I highly recommend Inn at Valley Farms if you want to relax, enjoy nature and organic farming and explore the surrounding areas.

                      Lakeside bliss

                      5 of 5
This property provided everything we needed to have a pleasant vacation. Plenty of room and amenities; a beautiful, clean lake; a dock for our boat; privacy; and a great price for what we got! Keith and Louise were gracious enough to help us get our boat to their home, and show us around the property at the start of our vacation-something we haven't experienced before in other rental locations. Not too far from Keene and Concord for those who need to venture out into more populated areas. We didn't feel the need, though. Lots of stairs to manage from the lake to the house, which may bother some, but great for those who want a little extra workout everyday! Franklin Pierce Lake is a clean, milfoil-free lake. Warm waters and not very busy during the week.
