Lovely and Relaxing

5 of 5
We had a lovely and relaxing time in Lincoln at Gene and Marie's house. They welcomed us in, although later in the evening, and were warm and gracious. They had good recommendations of hikes and places to get groceries and information on the area. The space is well laid out and has enough space to get away and relax within the apartment (2 complete bedrooms), yet common shared space to be together. There were many details that they thought of: cold waters in the fridge, plenty of towels, a washer and dryer, warm blankets a plenty, a Keurig with options, hot chocolate, a first aid kit, great kitchen equipment to do your own cooking, and wood outside ready to make a fire. Their wrap around porch was charming and inviting to sit on. The beds were nice and comfy, and I like a firmer bed and the master bedroom was nice and firm, but not too firm. The location was a nice walking distance to a coffee shop called Half Baked, and was a street off of the main highway, but you didn't hear the traffic at all. Although there were other tenants in the house, we rarely heard them and felt like we had the place to ourselves. We enjoyed the location in the White Mountains since it was close to several day hikes and cute little towns. If passing through Lincoln, I would definitely stay there again.

Fabulous Property and Great Owners, too!

Wow, this was even better than we were expecting. The grounds are amazing - so well maintained. The kids had a blast making 'smores on the fire pit each night. It was fun walking down the stairs into the river and the kids loved skipping rocks. The inside was very clean and well stocked and bigger than it looks in the pictures. The set up for the kids - two sets of bunks - was perfect. The free WiFi worked great, even outside. The laundry facilities were a great bonus after a week on the road. We ended up meeting the owners who arrived on our last night and they couldn't have been nicer. Great to talk to and the kids thoroughly enjoyed playing with their adorable little dogs. Would highly recommend this place. We stayed in the summer and found lots to do in the area.
