                          Recent Lake Winnisquam Reviews

Very private/peaceful area, on cove, not big lake

                          4 of 5
Overall, I personally enjoyed the stay, is peaceful, close to everything but is not for people with boats or want to be in the mix of things on a big lake. Positives: -Very private area -Paddle boat -Canoe -Swim dock -Fairly warm water -Fire pit -Big property -Near restaurants and the tilton outlets -Good for families that want privacy but not for partiers or people who have a boat that wants to be on the big lake. Not the best but still OK: - It is not connected to Lake Winnisquam it is on the cove that is technically on the lake but split between small trees. There is a few trails to get through to the actual lake. However, the water is very calm and great for swimming and playing in the water. It is what the title says "Cabin on the cove". -The largest Epham cabin that is shown in the pictures where the others is not is adjacent to the Emerson cabin but the Thoreau cabin is across the street -It is not the cabins fault but there is a lot of bugs outside and no way to keep them out of the house -The cabin is a cabin it could be updated but still in decent condition My recommendation is to go drive if you know the location to check out the cabins or areas before you book! The owner Steve is a very nice guy too!

                          Absolutely Perfect Lakeside Cottage!!!

                          5 of 5
Our week was amazing and went by way too fast! Tom and Deb are just great. They made us feel right at home and were available for anything that we might have needed as well as suggestions for area hikes. The cottage is very comfortable and has everything you need from a large refrigerator to skewers for kabobs (which turned out great on the charcoal grill....the view while cooking was quite relaxing). My 16 and 21yr old kids loved the loft, it is roomy and spacious enough for both of them. It was so quiet it was hard to believe that we were so close to so many things to do. We hiked to the Fall of Song at Castle in the Clouds, the Loon Center and a great trail just down the road. Also close by are restaurants, great shopping and Weirs Beach. Being on the north end of the lake and a no wake zone makes it very enjoyable for using the paddle boat, sitting by the water, swimming or as my mother loved to do, sit on the dock enjoying the view and waiting for the loons to swim by. There is a loon sanctuary just down from the property so the opportunity to see and hear them is often. This was the first time I had heard a loon and totally fell in love with them. The icing on this perfect vacation was being able to bring our Shepherd. He is very much part of the family and it wouldn't have been a family vacation without him....he too enjoyed sitting on the dock! Tom and Deb just couldn't be any nicer and we had such a good time that we've already booked our stay for 2015! Looking forward to seeing you and Ari next year, Tessa, Alex, Mary Anne, Sonya & Drake

                          wonderful weekend

                          5 of 5
My husband and I had the best time at your cottage. the lake was amazing and just a few feet away. we heard the sound of loons and it was so peaceful. Everything about this place was wonderful , waking up in the morning to the fog on the lake and drinking our coffee (fire going in the fireplace) coffee done and fog lifted and off on our canoe ride I cant say enough about this place and hope to return soon thank you so much for our weekend Nancy and Don
