Lakefront Perfection in Meredith

5 of 5
Our time in Meredith was perfect thanks to our stay in this wonderful home! Not just a cottage, this house has all the conveniences of home, the owners thought of everything. If you are a big cooking family like we are, nothing to fear...the kitchen is fully stocked for whatever you could possibly want to prepare, with modern appliances to make cooking a breeze. Bedrooms are perfectly sized and all on the second floor, with a large living room and plenty of seating to make everyone comfortable. The home even included a Google Chromecast, so no need to bring your streaming device. Having the laundry was a huge bonus - no need to bring home any dirty clothes at the end of the week. The home is impeccably maintained, inside and out. Outdoor seating for dining and hanging out by the fire pit was super comfortable, and the dock at the water was great for lounging, fishing, and swimming. We were able to catch fish right off the dock, and took a few canoe rides around the lake. Easy to purchase a fishing license online - and make sure you do, as the lake is patrolled. Groceries and restaurants are about a 15 minute drive away in Meredith, and a small convenience store with deli is even closer - and they have basically everything you could need in a bind. Absolutely we would recommend this home - we had a range of guests over the week, including children as young as two and a wonderful time was had by all. The owners are terrific to work with and very responsive. Should our travels bring us back to Meredith, this will be the first home we try to reserve! Enjoy your stay in this wonderful home!

Great Getaway

5 of 5
We have rented this cottage for the last 4 years, and we're never disappointed. My sons have been w/ us prior years and loved it! Lots to do up here. This past season it was just hubby and me and it was so relaxing. It's a great location looking at the Lake and mountains. We enjoyed breakfast down on the dock watching boats and wildlife. It's so close to everything you might want to do, or just hang out on the huge screen porch and chill out! The owner is very attentive to any questions/needs you have, and I'm highly recommending this cottage for your next getaway!

Great House in a Great Location

4 of 5
This house is RIGHT ON the lake. It has a beautiful, unobstructed view of the water and some of the best sunrises. Even in mid-winter, when we were not going in the water and everything was covered with snow, we could still appreciate the location. Quiet and away from the hustle and bustle, but not too far from all the fun. We went to Gunstock Mountain for skiing and tubing which was an easy 25-30 minutes away. We were also close to Meredith Center and not far from Funspot, which was a GREAT rainy day activity. The house was nice. The master bedroom is very spacious, but the other bedrooms are more modest in size. The first floor is pretty open and welcoming, which was perfect for our family with 3 small kids and a dog. It would be nice if the basement were finished just to provide even more living space and a place to let the kids play or watch a movie and have a separate area for adults to gather. We were pleased that there really was EVERYTHING that we could need. All cooking appliances and gadgets that you could need, lots of movies and even a decent selection of board games. The owners were VERY accomodating and responsive. We would not hesitate to rent again and recommend this house rental to anyone looking for a great, quiet lakeside home. -Gina D. Whitman, MA
