Amazing Winnipesaukee Retreat

5 of 5
We've enjoyed this house for a week in August for the past two years in a row and each time we leave we say we're going to come back for two weeks next year! If you're looking for a place to vacation on the Big Lake it doesn't get any better than this. The inside is very clean and inviting with impressive views of the lake and mountains. The outside has an unbelievable waterfront with a large dock and steps leading into a very sandy bottom swim area! There is room for one or two boats with plenty of room for swimming too. My kids ages 8 & 9 would be perfectly happy just to hang out by the dock even if we didn't rent a boat each year. The island itself is very quiet and secluded but yet only a 10 min car ride to all the amenities you'll need. Why take the car though when you can take your boat everywhere you need to go! Honestly this place is great and the owners are very easy to deal with! No stress here folks! Highly recommend this to anyone considering a vacation on Winnipesaukee...just don't take my week! ;-)

A First-Class Vacation Spot!

5 of 5
I was told by a friend that this was the perfect property if you want to be on the lake, and he was understating it. The view is magnificent, facing the setting sun, and the beach is a rare thing on Lake Winnipesaukee. It is the perfect place for children because the sandy beach goes out gradually which is ideal for swimming. What stands out the most about the property in my mind is the family that owns it. They are the nicest people you could hope to meet when you rent property. Yes, they live next door, but that is a big plus because they treat you more like family than tenants. They truly enjoy people and would do anything they could to accommodate your needs. We could not find anything they had not thought of in the unit to make living there comfortable. The kitchen is superbly equipped with more than enough dishes, glasses, etc., the beds are very comfortable, there is a washer and dryer as well as dishwasher. As you sit in the living room and dining area and look out at the lake, you will not want to leave. My first reaction upon entering the place was that they had a lot of pride in their property and took great care of it. The place is immaculate. It is truly the Heaven of lake rental properties, and it is close to grocery shopping and all the great Lakes Region activities. You can't stay here without wanting to come back!

Best Place in Wolfeboro!!!

5 of 5
We just got back from Staying at this "chalet" and it was the best!! We stayed on Lake Winni in the past, and it was very noisy. This house is located on Rust Pond which is about 2 miles from Lake Winni and Wolfeboro town, and it was the quietest, most tranquil place you will ever go!! The loons at night made it extra special. The fishing was incredible. Smallies, Largemouth Bass, Pikes, etc. were abundant!! Catfish at night seemed to come outta nowhere!! Swimming was incredible also!! The house itself has everything you need. The owners were super super nice and accommodating. Please don't pass this one up!! Much better than staying on the big lake. Lori Russell Pennsylvania
