JULY 4TH 2014!

5 of 5
I actually found the cabins by a drive by...I called the owner (Jim) was real attentive & organized. He got right back to me when I requested the dates. When we checked in we where greeted with a lake style welcome. Showed our two spots and walked to the cabin. The cabins may look small but their very functional, the AC blew cold, the common area, beds, bathroom, kitchen & bathroom we're very very clean. The units have everything you need, when the owner tells you to just bring clothes he's serious. The unit had a great view of the lake, and amazing deck/patio on the lake. The grounds where kept immaculate as a reflection on the cabins. The location is great, about a mile to fast food, or a 5 star dine, weirs beach & boardwalk...or just sit on the swing chairs or picnic tables (every unit had their own) Lastly, since the owner has a lot of loyal clients, who repeat...the neighbors are very respectful, quiet and friendly. We had no issues, no problems and thankfully the weather was on our side. I did ask the owner, who becomes your friend, a request for the whole month of July 2015...!

IT'S LIKE NEW SIGHT TO THE BLIND! CORRECT LENSES!

5 of 5
I cannot express the intimacy and connectiveness this property has brought between my wife and my kids and I. It's very surprising given its close proximity to one of the top tourist destinations in the country, but when we get to this island property, all time and distractions cease from occupying our minds. We revert to candlelight, simpler pleasures, sitting, talking in depth, noticing things we never have the space to notice, sounds that were previously undetectable, wind, crystal clear water, trusting fish that swim up to you so you can marvel at them, hours of exploration during the day among the little islands and features surrounding this property and then solitude at night with lanterns, the sound of the old water pump, grilled food over a fire or on the gas stove.... it's magical, truly magic that catches you off guard and stays with you for months as we reflect back on our shared experience. I know we will think back to those days and the personal connections and transition from the world with great fondness and dreamy reflections for years and years to come. Thank you for your generosity Steve and Gail... Dave, Wendy and the kids...

COMFORTABLE COTTAGE WALKING DISTANCE TO THE LAKE.

4 of 5
The cottage was in very good shape considering its' age. I loved how close it was to the lake. The fire pit was a hit. I had brought my own quilt and was glad because it was nice and bright unlike the gray bedspread that was on the bed upon arrival. The bedroom is roomy and we loved all the windows. The house was well built. Met some of the family so got some of the history, which was fascinating. Suggestions, please for future guests have wifi available, and a TV, it should be their prerogative to watch or not watch the TV. We were concerned about the water, washing dishes with lake water, is that safe? I felt that the kitchen and the bathroom should be updated. Other than that, we had a lovely time. It is a great spot and I had a wonderful book, that came in handy during the rainy time. Lastly, it was a bit challenging for me, 65 getting into the water, but once there the water was lovely. Use of the kayaks was a treat, saw a loon, doe and a fox while we were there. The view was fantastic.
