Big house with lots of fun activities!

5 of 5
We had a group of 14 and there was plenty of space for all of us. The location right on the water was perfect, and our group quickly split up to getting in the kayaks, some were playing horseshoes, others were having a dunk contest on the basketball court, etc. The campfire was perfectly located by the water and had plenty of chairs for all of us to sit around it and have smores. Our only wish was that we were there longer to enjoy all of the activities and the beautiful views and weather!

Clean, Comfortable, and an EXCELLENT Value

5 of 5
My friend and I had a great time, we stayed for 3 nights over labor day weekend, which was great in itself because many places only offered week long rentals. I had no trouble finding the place using my GPS. Looks just like the pictures, very clean and very inviting. We cooked a few meals on the stovetop and on the grill. There are 5 beaches on Sawyer lake, the closest one (#1) is to your LEFT if you are carrying a lot of stuff! I had a great time snorkeling and swimming. It was quite busy around the lake (being Labor Day weekend) but everyone was very very friendly. Weirs beach and all its attractions is a 20 minute drive or so. Owner is very nice and refunded my security deposit right away. I definitely hope to come back next year and stay longer.

Little Slice of Heaven

5 of 5
My partner and I had a marvelous week at Sunset Lake. The setting is sublime - quiet lake, clear water for swimming and canoeing, gorgeous sunsets and loons at night. This is a nature lover's dream. Jan and Fred were the best hosts, but we also had complete privacy whenever we wanted it. We had all of our breakfasts and many of our dinners on the dock, but the octagonal guest house was a cozy setting as well. It's just that nothing could beat the beauty of the continuously changing light on the water. We had a restful week, but also enjoyed nearby outings around Lake Winnepesaukee for dinners, golf, and a visit to the Loon Center. This is the perfect spot to rejuvenate and enjoy Mother Nature. We will definitely be going back!
