One of my favorite weekend getaways!

5 of 5
A group of friends decided to go on a ski getaway for a weekend. After staying here we decided this was the perfect location and home for the trip! The house is only half a mile from Gunstock. The views were spectacular. The house itself was very cozy and we instantly felt comfortable. There was much attention to detail and everything we could possibly need was provided. From a wide range of spices for our cooking needs to heating satellite television and board games for entertainment, everything was taken care of. As mentioned in previous reviews the Sonos sound system was a definite plus. The volume in each room is adjustable to fit every guest's needs. David was very helpful during the reservation process and very timely in his responses to my MANY questions. He was there to greet us upon arrival and give us a nice tour of the house. This place was a perfect getaway for our group of 11 and we hope to return again!

Great vacation

5 of 5
This property was perfect for our family vacation. It is close to skiing, Weir's Beach, and Fun Spot. Shopping and dining was also within quick driving distance. The house has a great basement for the kids to play in. The. Landlord was thoughtful (left us treats) and is easy to get in touch with, very helpful. We are planning to go back in the Sumer to access the waterfront and beaches. Thank you.

All Inclusive

5 of 5
I rented this place as a surprise for my wife's Birthday. Being a secret made it a challenge o communicate with the owners. They did a great job...I thank you for that. The pictures you see are great but it's even better when you see the place in person. We have rented many VRBO properties for vacations over the years and this one is by all accounts the nicest property managed by the nicest owners. You get a general concern that they want you to enjoy the place. They were so nice to call me and tell us to take our time leaving as no one was coming in directly after us. We did all our own cooking and grilling. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you can imagine (even the laundry and pantry were fantastic). It was the weekend of the finals for the US Open Tennis champ and we couldn't resists being outside by the water (most of us were Tennis Players or Fans) we hung out in the Kitchen/Great room. We spent most of our time (when inside) in that part of the house. We ate all our meals in the screened in porch. After dinner we would hang out with a fire in the fire pit on the patio. We had nine people and besides the bedrooms, laundry room, screened in porch, kitchen and great room a large portion of that lovely home went unused. There is a large area in the finished basement that we didn't even use. We preferred the smaller TV upstairs by the kitchen so we could enjoy the view. They do, however, have a media room with a huge flatscreen downstairs ( I could not figure out how to use but, if our kids were there the would have figured it out) As mentioned we hung out together all the time in several locations...Kitchen Great room (plenty of seating)...Screened in porch (plenty of seating)...Deck (we moved a small table and some chairs out from screened in porch to seat all of us...we put back in place before we left)...Patio by Fire Pit (plenty of seating)...Most of the days down by the large Dock (plenty of room but not enough seating next time we will bring light folding chairs...I would say that to have enough chairs down there all the time would look cluttered so owners have it right, just bring some beach chairs with you) As mentioned we spent most of our time enjoying the water (Lucky w/good weather). Two of our guest are in their eighties and it was a little difficult getting down to the dock and back up but, as they said, it was well worth it. Great Time, Great location, Great property, GREAT OWNERS...THANK YOU !!!!
