A month of heaven

5 of 5
We stayed a whole month and watched the fall colors go from green to leaves falling off the trees. The house was great and close to so much hiking and biking. We cooked a lot and it was wonderful have such a well stocked kitchen. The wood burning stove worked great taking the house from cold to 80 degrees with just a couple of logs. Having three bathrooms was a plus as on weekends we had guest and this made it very nice. Matt was very responsive to are questions calling us back almost immediately when we needed advice on how something worked. We hope we get a chance to stay there again.

Wonderful Vacation Stay

5 of 5
This property was all we had hoped for. The owners were responsive every step of the way -- from replying to our initial inquiry to providing info and directions in a timely manner. The cabin is beautiful, cozy, and immaculate. The setting is private, nestled in the woods, but still close to the small town of Franconia as well as to Littleton, which had all the services and shopping we needed. Our family (with four teenagers -- the WiFi was a key feature of the cabin) enjoyed visits to Franconia State Park, including swimming and boating at Echo Lake; an easy hike up Bald Mountain and a strenuous one up Mt. Lafayette; driving up Mt. Washington; a quick visit to Robert Frost Place and another to the Brick Store (longest continually-operating general store in the US); a fun dinner at The Little Grille (a former train depot); and a great time at the water park just 30 minutes away. Good gift store shopping nearby as well. Even during a couple of drizzly days, we were content just to hang out in the cabin for the most part -- it was so comfortable that we didn't mind staying indoors. An evening gathered around the fire pit with s'mores was one of the most memorable. We highly recommend this wonderful property.

A great quiet getaway!

5 of 5
We stayed there at the end of August and had a wonderful time! It met the needs of the whole family. My boys enjoyed fishing, catching turtles and frogs and seeing the otters! We adults were able to hang back, listen to the ball game on the radio and just relax. This was just what we needed. It was so secluded and so quiet, we felt like the only ones around. We didn't swim in the pond as that end was filled with lily pads and weeds but no one seemed to mind. It was probably our best family vacation so far!
