                  Great Lakefront Vacation Spot

                  5 of 5
My family and I stayed at Sunnyside for 3 nights end of June. It was everything we imagined. Beautiful home and great location. We particularly liked the full glass windows on the front the house that provided panoramic views of the lake from all locations. Big yard was great for our dog and very private. Kids loved fishing from the dock and feeding the family of ducks that visited us every morning and evening. Spent days canoeing, kayaking, paddle boating, and swimming out to dock platform. Enjoyed the fire pit every nigh toasting marshmallows and sharing stories. Stephanie was great to deal with. We will definitely be back!

                  Great House with

                  4 of 5
My extended family rented this property for a long weekend in October. The house is nice and most of it is newly renovated. The open-concept kitchen, dining, and living areas are spacious and provide enough room for 6 adults to easily co-exist. Both of the new bedrooms on the far side each sleep 2 (one has two twins and the other a nice twin bunk). The master bedroom is a good size but the master bath is small and needs to be renovated. The other bathroom is right next to the master bedroom - off the kitchen - and has been nicely renovated. It was a big enough space for the rest of us to keep our toiletries there (a row of eight towel hooks came in very handy) but the set-up felt a little weird. I just didn't like the feeling of walking through the living room and kitchen to take a shower. Personally I would add a full bath to the new wing and/or downstairs. However, it all worked fine for us and it's not a big enough issue to keep me from renting here again. I was the one who got to sleep downstairs. The room is huge and there are two bunkbeds. It would be great if there was a TV (looks like the cable hookups are there already) and a couch or place to sit other than the bottom bunk. The space would be a great playroom for kids. As there was no place to sit the only time I spent downstairs was when I went to bed. Besides the lack of furnishings, my only complaint is that the two bunkbeds were pushed together so closely that I couldn't access the outlet by the headboard and therefore couldn't plug in a light to read. The patio area is nice with comfy furniture and fire pit. The lake front is a short walk down the hill. The property has a nice sandy beach area with a tire swing, toys, and a couple of kayaks. The beach abuts the beach and boathouse for a condo complex so I'm curious how busy it is during the summer. For our October weekend there was hardly anybody else around. We had two dogs and it was nice to have the long leads available. The owner was easy to deal with and responsive to the one problem we had. We arrived to find that the cleaners hadn't finished doing the laundry so the beds weren't made and there were no clean towels...laundry and beds aren't exactly the things you want to worry about when on vacation. The owner refunded the cleaning fee without issue. I would definitely stay here again and am a little sad that the property isn't available in the winter for a ski weekend!

                  No Complaints!

                  5 of 5
We stayed at this property for the past two summers -- my husband, two young kids, and I. The house is exactly as it looks in the pictures. It is very clean (and I am super picky) and the location can't be beat. The kids had a blast and want to go back for the third year in a row. The house is right around the corner from the state beach. I am an ocean person and didn't know what to expect from a lake and I was blown away. The beach is great -- it has beautiful water, shade (if you so desire), a well-equipped little store, and a playground for kids. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Also, within a stone's throw is Mt. Sunapee for hiking and zip-lining if your kids are a little older. My kids are 6 and 3. I was worried about not being in my own house, but I found the house quite comfortable and safe. The stairs are a little steep, but the first year when my youngest was two I brought a gate that I used at the top of the stairs so he was safe. There is a game room down in the basement, which the kids loved. They also LOVED the bunk beds!!! All of the beds are comfortable, and Joanne has stocked the house with whatever one might want as far as kitchen equipment and linens. We love the screened porch, and ate our meals out there every night. There is also a grill, dishwasher, washer and dryer, air conditioning.... everything one might want. Also, the yard is huge and safely separated from the street by a stretch of trees, so very little worrying about the kids. Joanne is very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. This house makes for a very relaxing week. There are no huge town right nearby, and be prepared to drive about 15 minutes to the supermarket, but if you are looking for relaxation, this is it. I would totally recommend this house, as long as you don't want "our" week! (Kidding...)
