GREAT FISHING !

5 of 5
I love this area! There are trails right in the back of this home you can hike to the nearest local ponds for awesome bass fishing! The trails are maintained by the local Proctor Academy so they are marked and easy to follow ! I'm a lover of running streams - best place to sit and picnic with the family is Walker Brook ! Your kids will love splashing in the little pools of water. If you love the winter, then this is a great place to ice fish too! Would definitely recommend you stay here !

NO COMPLAINTS!

We stayed at this property for the past two summers -- my husband, two young kids, and I. The house is exactly as it looks in the pictures. It is very clean (and I am super picky) and the location can't be beat. The kids had a blast and want to go back for the third year in a row. The house is right around the corner from the state beach. I am an ocean person and didn't know what to expect from a lake and I was blown away. The beach is great -- it has beautiful water, shade (if you so desire), a well-equipped little store, and a playground for kids. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Also, within a stone's throw is Mt. Sunapee for hiking and zip-lining if your kids are a little older. My kids are 6 and 3. I was worried about not being in my own house, but I found the house quite comfortable and safe. The stairs are a little steep, but the first year when my youngest was two I brought a gate that I used at the top of the stairs so he was safe. There is a game room down in the basement, which the kids loved. They also LOVED the bunk beds!!! All of the beds are comfortable, and Joanne has stocked the house with whatever one might want as far as kitchen equipment and linens. We love the screened porch, and ate our meals out there every night. There is also a grill, dishwasher, washer and dryer, air conditioning.... everything one might want. Also, the yard is huge and safely separated from the street by a stretch of trees, so very little worrying about the kids. Joanne is very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. This house makes for a very relaxing week. There are no huge town right nearby, and be prepared to drive about 15 minutes to the supermarket, but if you are looking for relaxation, this is it. I would totally recommend this house, as long as you don't want "our" week! (Kidding...)

BEAUTIFUL HOME IN A LOVELY LOCATION

5 of 5
My family had a wonderful week, and Casey's hospitality and attention to detail made it all the more enjoyable. He often responded to questions about the home within the hour! The photos accurately reflected the quality of the home, and the amenities were all available as described. We made frequent use of the gourmet kitchen and outdoor fire pit (even the wood was included!). There were plenty of activities to keep us busy and happy: games on a rainy day, kayaking, looking at the Milky Way while sitting around the fire. It was a fantastic trip and would look forward to returning in the future!
