We're coming back!

5 of 5
We had such a great week at this lake house that we've already booked it again for next year. This is our fourth year vacationing with our relatives and their family and our fourth different lake and home and this is the first time we've truly wanted to return. For your reference, there were 4 adults, 6 children (ages 17, 16, 11, 7, 4 and 1) and 3 large dogs (2 huskies, 1 boxer/bulldog). The lake is quiet and clean. The beachfront is perfect for the kids to play and build sand castles. The kayak was great to be able to go for a spin around the lake. We did not utilize the paddle boat or the canoe, but next year I will be bringing my fishing pole and will likely use the canoe (there is some great fishing out there). The owners have literally thought of everything. Had we paid closer attention (or asked), we would've known we didn't need to bring a pack and play or a high chair for the baby - they had both. They had water bowls for the dogs, gates for the deck for the dogs, a runner on the beach and places to attach tie-outs. They had all the cleaning supplies you could hope for which made keeping up with it easier with all those people. There was a crockpot and a KitchenAid mixer, a griddle, plenty of pots and pans. We did end up buying one sharper knife to use while we were there and left it as well as a new spatula since the one that was there looked like it had been left on something too hot and it was ruined, but all of the other kitchen appliances/plates/utensils were fantastic. The trash was not an issue at all. They had several barrels right outside clearly labeled and we did not fill anything up all the way before it was picked up. There is a Hannaford not far at all that we frequented (and the ever-important Dunkin Donuts). There were bikes that the guys took for a spin to check out the area (and one with a baby seat). Plenty of sand toys, life vests of all sizes, games inside, coloring books and crayons, books to read for the kids. You really don't need to bring anything but your clothes - they even had beach towels and bath towels. AMAZING vacation. Can't wait to go back next year.

Perfect Family Vacation

5 of 5
We have been renting lake front properties for the past 5-6 summers. This was one of our best experiences. The house is right on the water. Nice big private yard (trees/bushes between properties) with fire pit, long deck, canoe, plenty of outdoor chairs, large wooden swing. The inside of the house is huge compared to other lake front properties we have been to in the past. In addition to the lake, there are 2 lake side in ground pools. We pulled out some 4 huge bass (used smallish sunfish as bait). The place has about a dozen rods, a couple of tackle boxes etc, so no need to bring fishing gear. We dealt with Toby Harris, the owner of the property directly. Great guy, we ran out of oil and he and his maintenance guy were there in about 10 minutes. The issue was resolved within an hour. I also let him know that one of the kids put a decent sized scratch in his coffee table and that the dogs knocked over (and broke) one of his lamps. I expected for him to take money off the security deposit, but he said it was no big deal and didn't charge us anything. This place is an absolute steal

peaceful getaway.

I spent 2 night with my son and girlfriend. As we arrived we fealt the tention lifted away by the seclusion of the cabin. My son is 5 and enjoyed going out on the lake with the provided boat. The locals are helpful and social. The owner made shure we were all comfortable and answered questions with, no problems. Next time maybe just a father and son getaway, perfect.
