Great lakeside getaway

5 of 5
Very pretty spot....relaxing. Great place for 2 families to share, lots of room in the house as well as outside on the deck and at the dock/beach area. Great area for walking and hiking too.

Wonderful vacation, small space

4 of 5
My husband and I rented this home for a week in the summer of 2014 and had a wonderful vacation. The lake is beautiful and the views and sunset are as idyllic as described. For the two of us, the house was sufficient. The cabin is one open room. Bunk beds on one side of the room and a pull-down, attic-type ladder leading to a sleeping loft with the queen bed. We found the sleeping loft to be tight and a little dangerous - there's very little space between the edge of the bed and the hole cut out for the ladder. The ladder springs are very loud, too - whenever either of us got up to use the bathroom, the other would be woken up, too. The "sleeping cabins" outdoors are very small out-buildings and there are no solid doors on them, just screen doors. For the two of us, the house was sufficient, though there wasn't much room to spare. The lakefront is lovely, as is the breakwater. Michelle, our host, was very accommodating and available to answer our questions. The house was clean and well-equipped.

Great Get-a-Way Weekend in Historic Home

5 of 5
We came to the farm to escape the city and ring in the New Year with friends. This was a perfect retreat for a relaxing weekend of board games by the fire, cooking and sharing stories, and winter strolls on the trails through the estate. The historic home has lots of charm, is very clean, and spacious. There are five bedrooms with double or queen beds, four of them have private bathrooms/showers. There's also a pull out couch in the living room if needed. A large dining room and well equipped kitchen made it easy to share meals. The house was well heated, the owners even started the wood stove for us before we arrived - such a nice touch! Highly recommend this farm house for a winter retreat with family or friends.
