Excellent for a short break or longer stay

5 of 5
The apartment is ideally situated for visitors who wish to be out of the bustle of central Amsterdam, but still within easy reach. Tram connections are excellent and it is possible to walk to the main museum area. The apartment faces onto the gardens, and away from street noise. The apartment facilities are excellent, and an early arrival was accommodated by the owners. This was very helpful as Easyjet flights from Scotland may arrive midday. We would happily return to Studio Palamedes for a longer stay.

Comfortable and clean place to stay - good location

5 of 5
My husband and I stayed here at the end of our Europe trip. We were tired of eating out before we got to Amsterdam so we wanted to stay at a place with a kitchen. If you are looking to save money on your Europe vacation, this is the way to go! Ruth and Kingi were awesome to deal with! Kingi was there when we arrived to give us the keys. The place was clean and I felt as though it was in a safe and convenient area of town. The loft was within walking distance to a grocery store, wine store, and very close to tram #1 (tram #1 can get you to and from Central Station from the loft). We used the tram quite a bit as the central part of the city was about a 20 min - 30 min walk away. There is also a car rental agency across the street if you are thinking of renting a car for the day. We liked the location of the loft as it wasn't in the busiest part of Amsterdam - so it felt quieter and safe. The only thing with this place (as I think with many places in Amsterdam) is there is no elevator - so you have to be ok with packing your luggage up 4 flights of stairs. We didn't mind the exercise! Also, it's a good opportunity to do laundry here. The loft has a washer and dryer and drying racks for those items you don't want to put in the dryer! Overall, great place to stay!
