FANTASTIC VILLA

5 of 5
The villa is set in an idyllic location in the woods above Mook. It is very comfortable, clean, tidy and obviously well looked after. If you want peace and quiet in the countryside this is the place! We took our bikes and enjoyed some great cycling (in spite of the unseasonable rain) including a trip up to Arnhem on the train and a cycle back. Nijmegen is well worth a visit and we just had a great week! ps one evening highlight was the appearance of 2 deer in the front garden, wonderful!

PERFECT WAY TO ENJOY AMSTERDAM

5 of 5
We enjoyed our stay on the house boat immensely, It was the perfect place to stay whilst in Amsterdam. The house boat is located close to the center of town (10 min walk), AH Supermarket (2 min walk), Cafes and Restaurants (30 second walk across the road). Even though it was close to all these places it was peaceful, quiet and the perfect place to come home to and relax after a big day of exploring. We loved waking up every morning with our coffee to the beautiful view of the canal, waving to the people in their boats and feeding the ducks from the balcony. We were fortunate enough to meet Meredith (the owner) who was absolutely lovely. Meredith left a 'welcome' book with information about the area and transport that came in very handy (We saved 20 euro on a taxi to the airport using the suggestion from the welcome book) along with instructions on how to operate everything contained with in the houseboat. The houseboat was spotless upon arrival and maintained by Sander who was a pleasure to deal with. Sander made sure everything ran smoothly and there were no issues. We would love to stay on the boat again if we ever return to Amsterdam and would recommend it to anyone. We loved it so much that we almost shed a tear when the time came to leave as it had truly become our home during our stay. Dave and Teesh (Australia)

WE LIVED LIKE LOCALS. LOVELY!

5 of 5
Now we have a home-from-home in Jordaan, our favourite area of Amsterdam. Spacious, cosy, furnished with agreeable simplicity yet every convenience. Original artwork on the walls, large light-filled rooms, natural wood floors. Quiet house on a residential street yet with cafes, bars, galleries, markets and canals all around. Highlights for us were: talking with very friendly locals, browsing local markets and galleries, many hours drifting through Amsterdam on canal boats, and Rembrandt's house which is fascinating, atmospheric and moving (you can also make your own print there.) We travelled everywhere easily on foot and by canal bus.
