My wife and I booked Mookerheide to be close to the "operation market garden" battle sites, the WW2 liberation route and the Canadian war cemetery where our great Uncle who served with the 23 field company Royal Canadian Engineers is buried. We were really attracted to the wooded solitude of the house. The pictures do reflect the positively beautiful location, tucked away and surrounded by trees and walking paths. Having breakfast on the back porch one day a young Deer came wandering into the backyard without a care in the world, we managed to take a few pictures before it wandered away. The front window is so large at night while sitting inside it makes you feel that you are right outside among the trees and stars. This was my first time booking from this website and it was seamless. Anneke was a pleasure to deal with, she answered all my questions in a very timely manner she was very helpful and personable. We arrived on location Tom (Anneke's Brother) and the cleaning staff were there and made us feel very welcome as they toured the house with us while Tom answered our questions about local restaurants and shopping. The Villa exceeded our expectations and was the perfect location for us to relax after a very emotional time visiting Canadian War dead. When we return to the area this will be the first place I check into booking. Thank you Anneke for making this part of our trip worry free, this is a wonderful place to stay surrounded by nature and history.
