A GREAT LOCATION AND A LOVELY APARTMENT

4 of 5
My family , including 3 young kids ( aged 4,7and 9 ) stayed at this lovely apartment for a week in July. I had researched what area to stay in Amsterdam and decided on Jordaan. We couldn't have picked a better location. The apartment was only a few minutes walk from a selection of restaurants and local shops , and some of Amsterdams main attractions were also within walking distance even with 3 young kids. It was lovely just walking around and mixing with the locals. The apartment was in pretty good condition , I would describe it as lived in as opposed to perfectly furnished. The pictures of the property were as on the website, ( one small thing was there was no outdoor table and chairs on the rooftop as shown in a picture) The stairs are very steep but the kids got used to them very quickly, just make sure they either walk bear foot or with shoes. I have given the property 4 as opposed to 5 stairs because some of the furnishings in the apartment were a bit tired but we would definitely recommend this apartment. We loved Amsterdam and would love to visit again.

Perfect location beautiful and spacious apartment.

5 of 5
The perfect apartment with the absolutely best location. We walked everywhere and when we needed public transportation it was right up the street. When we took a rode trip we walked across the street to the rental car company. The apartment was roomy and meticulous. We ate at Sama Sebo a recommendation from Ruth which was delicious. We are old so we do eat early and did not need reservations. The grocery store which was a block away was filled with wonderful tapas choices which after a long day we sometimes prefer to a big meal. Vondel Park was a great find and we were able to walk through there as a short cut enjoying the beautiful flora and fauna. Everything was as expected and Ruth was able to accommodate our early arrival and late departure. Ana, the housekeeper was lovely and helpful. I guess if I had to be very critical my only comment would be that if you were disabled or elderly this apartment might be difficult for you to navigate as it is up 3 flights of stairs. Thank You and look forward to our return trip. Ellen from New York
