The BEST!

5 of 5
Staying on the Anjo is the BEST way to experience Amsterdam. It is perfection. Ben, the proprietor, has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. We visited Amsterdam for 5 nights with our 16 year old son. Staying on the Anjo MADE our holiday perfect. We had our tea in the pilot house with the windows open to hear the church bells; we had afternoon drinks on the patio of the boat while we watched the world float by our canal; we snuggled into our very comfortable beds at night and slept peacefully and coolly (the boat has two air conditioners). Ideally located to walk everywhere, with a great bike rental place (Fredericks) just down the block. A great fancy market around the corner, as well as a more reasonably priced grocery store. Really, this is the way to experience Amsterdam. On a beautifully restored, perfectly situated, most comfortable canal boat.

Luxury, charm & location!

5 of 5
We felt very fortunate to be able to stay in this lovely houseboat. My kids(2 teens) knew we were staying on a houseboat but were expecting something a bit more rustic-boy were they pleasantly surprised. This is more like a floating apartment! High ceilings, lots of light, nice kitchen, room for all of us. Of course our favorite spot was the topside dining table and being able to eat on deck and watch all the action on the canals. We all want to come back next summer!!

Wonderful place in Amsterdam!

4 of 5
This place is fantastic! We really enjoyed our stay here. A houseboat is definitely the way to go when visiting Amsterdam. The location of this houseboat couldn't be better. Right around the corner is a super market and laundromat. It is within walking distance of a lot of Amsterdam's attractions- we walked to the Van Gogh museum, Anne Frank House, and Albert Cuyp market. We were lucky enough to run into one of the owners at check-in right outside of the houseboat. We had made arrangements to call when we arrived, but a word of warning that none of the pay phones around Amsterdam are functional- they are all broken. So make other arrangements to get into the houseboat if you are not going to have cell service. We were very fortunate- crisis averted. Totally recommend staying here!
