Echoing earlier reviews, we found Ferdinand's apartment to be amazing. The location could not be better, right on a canal, in the center of historic Delft, and convenient to the train station as well as shopping, churches, museums. Ferdinand was great to deal with throughout the entire rental process, provided us helpful tourist information, and answered all our questions. Yes, the steps are steep, but we're retirees and had no problem with them. The loft bedroom was comfortable and the half-bath (toilet) on that floor was very convenient. The kitchen/dining area was especially inviting, and we had a couple of dinners with friends sitting at the warm and comfortable dining room table.
One caveat for light sleepers or jet-lagged travelers staying in central Delft: the bell tower rings the hour throughout the night. But Delft is so charming it's worth getting used to, and I can't imagine any better place to stay in Delft than Ferdinand's apartment.
