Just returned from one of the best family vacations we've ever taken... our first visit to Flathead Lake and Glacier National Park area. Robin and Patti provide a wonderful home with spectacular views of the lake and mountains beyond. You couldn't ask for a better place to stay. Everything you could possibly need was at your fingertips. We had eight adults and every one of us had comfortable beds and plenty of room. The Graham's are nearby to accommodate any need, but there really isn't any "need" because this house is just perfect. They arrived to welcome us and when we departed, Robin was there to wish us farewell. Such nice people made our stay even better. In fact, we met many nice folks in Montana during our week's stay. We are an active family and those considering an active vacation and using Bella Vista as your home base will find lots to do: running or biking the Great Northern Rails-to-Trails, hiking Jewel Basin, an end to end drive of Going to the Sun Road in Glacier Nat'l Park, hiking any of the parks trails (but we were particularly fond of the Grinnell Lake and Glacier hike on the east side of the park), a float down the North Fork of the Flathead River (Ford put-in to Polebridge take-out), boating and wake-boarding on Flathead Lake, a visit to Wild Horse Island where we saw horses and Bighorn Sheep, and chilling out at the quaint town of Whitefish. Can't pass up a visit to the Tamarack Brewing Company for some beer and food either. Many thanks to Robin and Patti Graham who made our trip so comfortable from beginning to end. Both would be welcomed guests at our house anytime!
