              Wonderful Family vacation

              5 of 5
Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was more than happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our son graduated from high school this Spring and we wanted to do some kind of final family road trip before he headed off to college. We asked him to search for a place he would like to go, and Whetstone is what he found. The pictures on the website are what sold him. We were so happy when we found the house to be for the most part exactly like the pictures. Only deceiving part was the road that ran between the house and the lake. On the pictures, it looks as if the lake is directly off of the yard. We found the house in excellent condition; very clean and stocked with all of the things we would need for the week. We've stayed at rental houses before and ended up having to buy everything from salt and pepper to toilet paper, so we brought a bunch of supplies from home and really didn't need to. We loved the views, the option of using the air conditioner (which we rarely needed), the outdoor gas grill, and the kids especially loved the movie room! They even had a ton of movie choices! We also liked all of the little signs posted by the owners to help with the use of the cabin including location of cards and games, which we fully took advantage of, and suggestions of best places to visit and eat. The only things we would have changed would have been a larger kitchen (only one person can fit in it at a time) and not having the road in between the lake and the house (we were amazed to see how many cars go through there). One note: there is construction of a new home being currently built adjacent to Whetstone. We were luck in the fact that nobody came to work on it while we were there, so no construction noise, but I can imagine how loud it could get when they do work on it. Otherwise, a great place to stay. Flathead lake is gorgeous and so many things to do up there, including Glacier National Park! The 16 hour road trip for us was worth it! Be prepared for all kinds of weather.

              Peaceful and amazing!

              5 of 5
I just got home from a week at this amazing getaway! it was everything we thought it would be and more! My family (of all ages) found things to do in the water and out! The beds are comfy and there are more towels than you can count! We got to break in the new washer and dryer and they work like a dream! They are large capacity so you don't have to spend much time doing laundry- even with a toddler in the house! There is a cherry stand on the corner up a the highway with delicious cherries right off the tree (ours was named Evan) and we made them into a delicious cherry crisp from scratch! The owner of the home is so gracious and accomodating! They brought groceries for us for breakfast- all I did was email a list! We had food for breakfast after a 14 hour drive the day before- so we didn't have to find a grocery store open on our way! It was so nice! The towns are a little bit of a drive away- but if you come prepared- that is not a problem! We had a difficult time finding souveniers that said "Flathead Lake"- so if you want to move there- open a store! Cell phone sevice at the house was pretty good- but there are a lot of place that it is not so good. (they have pull outs on the highway where you will get service). The fact that iut stayed light until 10:30 at night made for some very long days and lazy mornings! It was so relacing- if I get a chance I will certainly go again- only I will probably fly in next time!
