Can't wait to come back!

5 of 5
We loved this home and will always remember watching the stars at night from the riverside hot tub. The home is fully stocked, immaculate and features brand new stainless kitchen appliances. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Good location nice house

4 of 5
We had two families total of 10 people in our group in August of 2014. We were one of the first groups to stay in the house after the property was sold to the current owners. Our check in was pushed back a couple of hours for cleaning and make ready following the previous group and when we got there the maid was no where near finished with cleaning. We had a thunderstorm the first night and learned the hard way that many of the window actuator arms were broken and not operational. One of the two Futons was broken and would not stay flat for sleeping but would fold like a taco when someone would lay on it. The back door knob would pull off in your hand and there were several other minor maintenance issues. Rough start to an expensive vacation. The owners rent the property for premium $'s and in my opinion the house was not ready for guests. I must say however, that the owners representative, Nancy, was easy to get a hold of and was very responsive and accommodating to our concerns. She had cleaning crew and repairmen in with in a day or two and at our convenience to fix the issues that we were having. As for the description on VRBO, the listing suggests that it is just a short walk to downtown, I disagree unless you consider a twenty minute walk short. The water at the end of the dock is about 12-24 inches deep with a very silty/muddy bottom (no swimming from the dock). Also read other comments about air conditioning for house (was not a big deal for us) but be sure you know what your getting. Over all, the vacation and house were fantastic. I believe the owners are fixing the problems that they inherited and I would certainly consider renting the property again

Great property!

4 of 5
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the lovely basement accommodations. Each room has very clean and functional furnishings. The kitchen is fully equipped and equally clean. The location was very scenic and provided us with a great launching point to Yellowstone National Park. The Keurig system (and the coffee and tea supplies) was a great enhancement and we enjoyed taking advantage of it each morning. To be honest, I would have given this property 5+ stars had it not been for a few shortcomings. First and foremost, one of the beds (in the bedroom on the left when looking at the kitchen) was EXTREMELY noisy. My husband and I were in the bedroom on the right and the bed was very comfortable. However, our friends in the other bedroom found their sleep to be significantly impacted by the noise generated by the bed whenever the moved - even slightly. Additionally, we all agreed that satin sheets are not ideal. My husband and I actually slept with a blanket in between us and the sheets. Our recommendation would be to simply standard cotton sheets going forward. Again, the location was ideal and the property itself is outstanding. With a few modifications you have a real gem! Thanks for the peppermint patties that you left - that was a very thoughtful (and appreciated) surprise.
