Comfy, pet friendly, and lovely setting!

5 of 5
We stayed for 8 nights and enjoyed every minute! The stream was great for swimming our dog, and the guys loved the fishing! East Glacier entrance is about 1/2 hour but distances are unavoidable out here. We devoted week to east of park and had a great time. Watched wildlife on mountain across from porch. Got to watch calf roping practice and barrel riding practice on the property. Good little cafe/ bar is walking distance. No washer/ dryer but we hand washed our stuff and they dried in 2 hours in the dry Montana breeze- laundry just a mile or so away though. No cell service and slow wifi but we enjoyed that! DVD player was nice to have but mostly we were tired from hikes, fishing and sightseeing. Would definitely return!

GNP Base Camp w/out the crowds.

5 of 5
This cabin in the woods, just a few miles west of the continental divide, was the perfect base camp location to explore Glacier. The home accommodated our family of four very well and lived larger than it appeared in photographs. Our daughters shared the large loft that overlooks the forest. This is a very private home that is secluded. The cabin offered most everything we needed, the large porch host a nice propane grill & dining table. Behind that was a fire pit and small stream at the rear of the property. The W&D was great, however, it was fun for the kids to dry our clothes on the provided clothes lines. It was good for our daughters to be without internet and cell service. We spent several late afternoons playing cards and working puzzles under the shadow of the surrounding mountains - perfect! Sahm and Robert, the owners, were responsive to our questions and helpful in their answers. We are strong supporters of VRBO; we rent out our own emerald coast beach home via VRBO 565955. We love going to the mountains every summer to cool off and explore. When we do, we always use VRBO and rent directly from owners whenever possible for the best service and experience. This years experience was no different - thank you Sahm and Robert for making your Montana home available to us in 2014.

Our Home away from Home in Montana!

5 of 5
This is our third stay at the Aspen House (2010, 2011, 2013). We brought a group of 11 hiking friends this time and, once again, it exceeded expectations. The location, the amenities, the prompt service by Marty (the maintenance man), and Kurt Wahl's personal attention....all combine to make for a perfect home for a group that wants to enjoy the beautiful Glacier National Park and live in a great home. The views are spectacular, the location (about 7 min drive into East Glacier) is just perfect for exploring GNP. All the bedrooms are comfortable, the bathrooms are just right, and the kitchen and pantry are well equipped to cook for a group. Everything is extremely clean and well maintained. DVDs and games are there for those who want to have some entertainment (and we enjoyed both). One couple in our group plans to return with their own family. Compliments to Kurt and a big thanks to Marty, too. We cannot say enough good things about this VRBO. It is THAT good!
