We had such a great time on our first trip to the Ozarks. The house is decorated so cute. It's even bigger than it look in the pictures. It is stocked with everything that you could ever need. The owners do an excellent job of maintaining it. The screened porch was awesome. We had 4 adults and 2 children, ages 11 and 13. When we arrived on Saturday we went shopping 15 minutes away at the Hy-Vee which was an amazing store. Walmart was a few minutes further and we got fishing licenses and bait there. They also sell bait by the dam. We cooked breakfast in the house daily, a few lunches and late night snacks. The Marina is across the road about 100 yards away, but it is on a very steep incline. There you will find the pool which is very refreshing and also maintained beautifully. It was never over crowded, we were able to get a pool chair any time of day and we swam for a little bit each day. The Boat House restaurant is there by the pool. We had several lunches and dinners there. They also serve breakfast. The food and drinks were great so we kept coming back. We also drove into town 2 nights, go over the dam and there are plenty of restaurants on the strip. Some casual and a few fine dining. You can also find ice cream shops, souvenir shops, parasailing and go-karting. At the end of Dock A is Adventure Boat Rentals. We rented a Deck Boat for 8 hours and a Tri-Toon for 8 hours another day. Reserve the boats well in advance before you come. They also rent tubes and wave runners. The kids loved tubing. They will give you a lake map and recommendations as to where you can take the boat and dock to have lunch on the lake. It rained one day so we drove 40 minutes to Bridal Caves which was another highlight. They give tours constantly throughout the day and they last almost an hour. We got some fantastic pictures here and they have a great gift shop. It was a 7 hour drive for us to get to the Ozarks. We would definitely rent this house again and look forward to coming back.
