Beautiful Home

5 of 5
We stayed at this beautiful home for the long holiday weekend. The house was just perfect with a great view of the lake. We spent every night on the back deck enjoying the scenery. There was a grill provided with all the accessories for easy use. Our kids had the best time and want to go back as soon as possible. We were able to rent a pontoon at Eastport marina down the street and had a blast. There was also a beach nearby we went fishing at. It really is a great spot on the lake. John was great to work with when booking the property. Very easy process and they took great care of us. I would highly recommend this home, and we hope to be back very soon!

Thunder Ridge

The Forest Retreat is the most humble place I've visited in my entire life. I enjoyed looking at the decor inside of the cabin, made with deer antler pieces. The ceilings resemble leaves of trees and all furniture are made therof. My most favorite part of the stay was the outside tub to bathe in. Even though my fiance, Herbert, was uneasy, he guarded me as I enjoyed my bath. I visited the cabin at a time of loss, my aunt Jessica, died. I took to the Forest for peace because I felt her spirit was with me. It was only us and nature, no phones, internet, television, etc., which I didn't understand how much we depended on these items until they were unaccesible. All that is needed for a visit to the Forest are your personal ammenities and food. All utensils, towels, stove, refrigerator, seasonings, etc., are available for use. I barbequed, fished, walked the trail, walked and waded in the creek, searched and followed wildlife tracks, and of course took all the photographs I could. I would definitley recommend this getaway to others and will revisit soon myself.
