Our curling team stayed here for a 4-day weekend, and it couldn't have turned out better (other than our curling!). We had four 60-ish guys, and we each had our own bedroom (no dealing with snoring). The house had plenty of space - the bedrooms were good size, and we had a large dining room and living room to sit and visit. The Berg house was very cozy despite the very frigid outside temperatures during our visit. Between the hot-water heat and the switch-on gas fireplace in the living room, we stayed plenty warm. We found nearby cafes (Louisiana Café 2 blocks away) for breakfast and restaurants (great walleye at Tavern on Grand within 1 mile). The house had easy access to St. Paul sights such as the Cathedral and History Center. A bonus treat was meeting Ray (nearby caretaker) who directed us to a couple of our most enjoyable evenings (the Blue Door tavern for a 'Blucy' burger; and the Surly Brewery). Svein was easy to work with in setting up our stay; and the online descriptions and pictures were accurate. I would absolutely recommend the Berg house, and would stay there again when I return to the St. Paul area.
