What a wonderful week we had!

5 of 5
My husband and I stayed in the Channel Home 17 years ago for our honeymoon, and this year we returned with our 11- and 14-year-old boys, staying in Cabin 2. Laura and Sue are so warmly welcoming, the cabin and grounds are spotless and meticulously maintained. There are many detailed touches, like the personalized welcome sign and fresh cookies, and plenty of games available, both inside and out. Matt is happy to share fishing tips and suggest places to try for the big ones, or just chat. They welcome families of all ages, yet we found it to still be fairly quiet and peaceful. :) It's very close to town for groceries, touristy shopping and eating out, and also close to the Paul Bunyan Trail if that's your thing. Could not recommend Samara Point more strongly, and it certainly won't be 17 years before we're back again.

Roy Lake property, Nisswa MN

The description and photos were accurate. It was clean and excellent service was provided by the owner and his rep. I would definitely recommend it to a friend or relative. Loved renting the almost new pontoon with a complete canopy for shade. The toys in the garage were thoroughly enjoyed by our young grandsons. Best of all, we were only one mile down the road from our son's Grandview Lodge rental. Perfect for us! Upstairs bedrooms do not have doors but are separated. Loved the well-maintained yard and space. Although there is a flat screen TV in the livingroom, we were so busy with outside activities that we didn't watch it.
