Great Location

4 of 5
My family found the property to be absolutely georgeous! The pond and paddle boat were popular as well as the outdoor fire pit where we made s'mores and sang songs. A trip to the DeYoung Family Zoo was a great outing for the adults and children. Our only disappointment was the number of beds was different than the website indicated. Evidently the bunk beds were replaced with queen sized beds, effectively eliminating 2 places to sleep. Thank goodness a member of the family had an airbed in their car!

Awesome atmosphere!

Nordic Haus was everything we expected and more. Plenty of space for family activities and lots of privacy as well. Accommodations were cozy and we all enjoyed the games inside the trunk. Lots of things to see and do in the area as well. This area is great in the summer but seems most come in the winter for the snow activities. My hope is that others will consider it for summer months and get outside and hike the area! Wonderful time and we hope to be back.

Perfect getaway!!!

5 of 5
From the moment we stepped foot on the property, we were hooked. Surrounded by woods and the roar of the falls, the cabin quickly became our home away from home. Roomy, comfortable, and well stocked we loved the Northern feel. Enjoyed a fire in the wood burning stove on cool mornings. We practically lived outside whether relaxing and reading in the screened-in porch or grilling and sunning on the deck just yards away from the sights and sounds of theTioga Falls. Truly awe-inspiring. We did a little hiking and tried our hand at canoeing in several locations that had well-marked trails leading to them. Made one day trip to Copper Harbor. Loved the drive and views of Keweenaw Bay and Lake Superior. Stopped at Hilltop Restaurant outside of L'Anse on our way out for breakfast and the enormous cinnamon rolls! Delicious! The two-track was as described. We drove our car which is somewhat low-riding but took our time, drove carefully and had no trouble. It was an adventure. The property managers and care takers were wonderful, accommodating, and always helpful. The only complaint I had was one week was not long enough! Thanks so much!
