THIS HOME IS AMAZINGLY INTIMATE IN ITS GRANDEUR!

                    5 of 5
We rented this lodge for a tri-annual gathering of my family and that of my Best Friend's family. There are 21 of us ranging from children 5 months to 16 years as well young adults 26-32 and 4 older adults. It was Perfect! When I was looking for a place to hold this, our third, gathering I never imagined I would find a place that would fit all of our needs so well. The kitchen was large enough for groups of 6 to cook together without crowding. The dinning room seating accommodated all to eat together in the same space. The bedrooms were spacious and insulated well enough that even rowdy games of Foosball didn't wake napping babies! The outside spaces were amazing with the deck/patio/fire pit/ hammocks/ newly developed pond and view of the river. (Quiet morning coffee conversations on the deck while watching fish jump out of the water was my favorite time of the day!) The size of the home envelopes you and you can easily forget how big it is as the house fills with laughter and shared times together with out ever feeling like we were on top of each other. The owner has equipped the home with excellent kitchen equipment,Beds, linens, fire side supplies, river activity equipment and anything you can imagine you would need to enjoy a week on vacation and never have to leave. Our ages and interest are varied but everyone LOVED staying here. We did wander out to see waterfalls in Wisconsin, spent a afternoon water tubing at Shakey Lake and spent one day visiting the DeYoung Family zoo (Fun for all ages). I would recommend all of these activities. But mostly if you are looking for a piece of paradise where you can come with family/friends and experience a memorable week, this is it. It exceeded all of our hopes! We will be back.

                    GREAT EXPERIENCE!

                    4 of 5
The house was very clean and neat with many amenities. We enjoyed going kayaking, fishing and boating. The owner was very friendly and provided us with useful information for our stay. There are few guide books in the house which we could refer to go around the nearby places. We had a lovely time here.

                    PANORAMIC VIEWS

                    4 of 5
If you are looking for a remote, quiet get away with spectacular views this is it. We were very comfortable in this three bedroom sprawling lake house. The spacious deck is very accommodating for patio grilling and bird watching or just staring out at the sparkling water. It was hard to bring myself to the patio when you can relax in the living area on one of three huge sofas and see just as well through all the windows. Perfect for reading, napping or enjoying the view. Tons of space for entertaining at the kitchen bar or dining table including another high top table with bar stools. There is a little road you can walk down to get to the shore or if you are wearing sturdy shoes you can traipse through the grassy area which can be rather prickly. Being this remote and with plenty of shallow waters there were some mosquitos and bugs, but not enough to keep us from enjoying ourselves. Also, there was a note left by the owner about not drinking the water. A water cooler is available for drinking and making coffee. We brushed our teeth and showered normally. This is a quiet cabin with a captivating view of the lake. There was no tv and no internet access. Phones worked fine on Verizon. If you want to watch anything you'll need to rent a video from the store in town. We throughly enjoyed our stay. Really miss the view.
