Beautiful little cottage!

5 of 5
My family and I (2 adults, 4 kids ages 3, 3, 12, 14) stayed for a week at the end of June 2014 and this is the ultimate place to relax without breaking your budget. We had plenty of room for our family and the short walk to the beach was excellent for us with two little ones. Property was clean and well-maintained. Some pretty bad storms came through affecting the WiFi, but owner was quick to get the problem fixed for us. I have told many friends and family members about this nice little gem we found on the lake! Lots of things to explore in the area with kids, but one of our favorites was the New Buffalo Township Park and Sprayground! Our little twins played for hours there and it was all FREE :) It was nice to drive 5 minutes to New Buffalo and explore a nice little beach town with lots of shops, grocery stores, and ice cream places. Good restaurants all over town, but we liked grilling out and cooking at our condo. Lots of little gas stations where you can pick up bundles of firewood and we had a couple of fires right on the beach. This is an excellent place to just relax and hang out on the beach. Walmart and other major stores are only about 15 miles away if you need to venture away. The extremely cold winter had the water temperature a bit cold at only 62 degrees this year, but it was still fine for the kids to play in and they didn't seem to mind after diving in the first time. A tip for everyone on that note is that with the warm temperatures and cold lake water, it could be a bit foggy in the mornings and sometimes into the afternoon, but we would drive inland a mile and it was bright and sunny on those days. We also made the hour drive to Chicago one day to explore the city, the Shedd Aquarium, Navy Pier, and some Chicago pizza.

Great Place to Vacation!

My family and I stayed here in August 2009. The condo was very clean and had all the amenities of home. We enjoyed a week full of beach and pool activities, and also had fun at the nearby casinos. We will definitely be back next year!
