TERRIFIC SUMMER RENTAL FOR FAMILIES

5 of 5
Bass Cove House was just perfect for our family vacation. The lay-out was great for our multi-generation group (Grandma, Mom & Dad and Adult children). It provided the perfect blend of privacy and comraderie. The pool table and fire pit provided lots of fun. Although we didn't use them much, the Wi-fi and tv provided good entertainment. The lake and house amenities were the stars of the show. One consideration is that there are quite a few stairs in the house and down to the lake. We spent many hours on the pontoon exploring the various coves and islands on beautiful Spider Lake. I would highly recommend this property. We had a really fun stay.

WISH WE COULD HAVE STAYED LONGER!!!

4 of 5
Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was very clean. The property manager was adequately helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I decided to share a few days with family at your vacation home. This included mom, Aunt, daughter w/ 3 kids and her fiancee. We are a very diverse bunch to say the least. Upon arriving we were very pleased at your property! It has a grand presentation pulling into the driveway and an even better one when walking thru the door and it smelled very clean, which I LOVE!!! It is a beautiful home!!! Many extra blankets and pillows for all of us! We were all very impressed with the attention to detail. Unfortunately the hot tub wasn't there. We were told 3-4 weeks prior that they were getting it serviced and had hopes that it would be fixed by the time we arrived, but that wasn't the case, it was completely gone. THIS WAS A BUMMER and had been a deciding factor when picking a home for me. We never made it to the lake either. Due to the BIG rain storm the noght before, the back property was saturated with standing water, which really couldn't be helped and added to the MANY mosquito bites we all incurred. Tis the season right?? Over all it is a beautiful property and we would be happy to spread the word to others and revisit you again soon!!! Proximity is close to everything. A short drive will get you wherever you want to go which was very nice and convenient. Thank you for sharing your home with us!!!

GREAT LOCATION. GREAT LITTLE BEACH ACROSS THE STREET. HOUSE HAS SOME ISSUES

4 of 5
Would like to give 3.5 stars, but I bumped it up to 4. First, about the location. It was great. The house is quiet street with a very quiet sandy little beach directly across the street. The water was great for swimming. The kids loved it! It's very close to Traverse City, and there's a great recreation park 1/2 mile away accessible by a walking trail or by car. The house has a few issues. Some of the windows would not open/close correctly. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms are very small. But our biggest concern was the mold. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms, along with the laundry area smelled very strongly of mold. If you have mold allergies, be warned. The house was clean, and no pet hair to be found anywhere for a house that allows dogs. Also, the front lawn sprinklers run pretty much constantly throughout the day. Rain or shine. This makes it very hard for kids to play out on the front lawn. Some of the sprinklers shoot water up onto the deck. If you're sitting in certain chairs, be alert! You may get soaked. Don't leave anything out on the deck you don't want to get wet. Also, if your car is parked on the side driveway, be sure to roll up your windows, the sprinklers will douse your car with water. Also, be sure to keep the dining room floor clean. We had ants show up frequently when there were crumbs of food on the floor. Other than the above stated problems, the house was very nice. Thank you!
