A "true" 5* home equipped to accommodate many!

5 of 5
We stayed here last fall for our company retreat. I've stayed at 5-6 large homes in MI over the last 7-8 years as I plan my company's yearly retreat. This home is the best that we've stayed at. It is located just off Red Arrow Highway and thus is about 150-200 yard from the Roadhouse restaurant and a general store (beer/wine, some limited food options). It is conveniently located about 7 minutes from New Buffalo, 10-12 minutes to Warren Dunes, 15 minutes to a winery or two and 12 minutes to Greenbush restaurant and brewery. Also, it is about a 5 minute walk to the beach, though the specific area of the beach has about 100 ft. of public space! The house itself is great for large groups. The kitchen and main floor space are large and can accommodate a big group that wishes to enjoy each other's time. The loft can then serve as another private space. The outdoor area is nice as well. It was October, but it would be an enjoyable space for the summer. I like luxury when we rent larger homes and this property met that requirement. The amenities are top notch. Suggestions: - Second fridge would be helpful -Open up the garage for guests. There is no basement, but a ping pong table and games in the garage would go a long way... - Here's a never going to happen suggestion- another bathroom would be ideal given the number of people this house can fit and that one bath needs to serve as the main floor "potty' room. Is this house perfect? Is any house perfect? No. This is a great (!) house, worthy of a rating of 5 (not just an "I feel bad if I don't give this a '5' rating"). We've rented a "different" house each year for the last 7-8 years of company retreats. I may break course and head back to this home. It is worth it!

Weekend wine getaway

5 of 5
Had such a great time at the modern farm house and can't wait to book our next stay. Ten of us headed to michigan for the weekend in celebration of my 40th birthday. This was the perfect place for us to spend time making dinner, playing games, enjoying the hot tub and a perfect locale to be picked up for a local wine tour, 5 to 10 minutes from all of the wineries. Loved the view from the dining room, beautiful trees surround the property. Also a fantastic long dining farm table for fun dinners. Kitchen well equipped, two dishwashers came in handy. One thing was missing - wine opener - pretty necessary! Otherwise what a truly fantastic space. There's even a guest house with more space. We all wanted to get cozy and stay together but it's nice to have the option for additional privacy. Highly recommend this wonderful home. We will be back!

Wonderful Winter Weekend Getaway

5 of 5
What a wonderful wknd! The home was every bit as beautiful, comfortable, and accessible as we hoped. Upon arrival, all lights were on, music was playing and heat was turned up creating the most ideal warm welcome. The gorgeous architecture, luxury bedding, baths, and fully equipped kitchen made settling in and relaxing very easy. In such a clean large home it was easy to sneak away from the group to find a cozy place for some quiet time to myself with tea and a good book. While this home would be an absolute hot spot in the summer, it served as the perfect winter weekend getaway. We had no problem entertaining ourselves using the gorgeous kitchen to cook big meals and enjoying board games and cocoa around the fire place. The view of the lake is amazing- and snowy lakeside walks were the best way to start our day. With the house so close to down town South Haven, it was just a quick walk to the cute shops, yummy restaurants, and awesome outdoor ice rink. Fun was had by all in a home that served as the perfect setting for making a memorable weekend.
