The apartment was beautiful and very clean. The owners had a bottle of Michigan wine and some delicious muffins waiting for us when we arrived. We were able to check in at noon, which allowed us to have plenty of time to get settled in & explore on our first day there.
The little amenities left around the apartment really made the stay. The kitchen had everything we needed in order to buy groceries and cook a few of meals in the apartment. It was nice not to have to buy olive oil, pepper, and other little things like that. The bathroom had make-up remover, shampoo, body wash etc., which was a really nice surprise with this being a private rental. We also loved the cute little porch for having coffee in the mornings.
South Haven itself is beautiful! We used our car to buy groceries and then didn't touch it again in the three days we were there. Coming from suburbs, it was so nice that everything is walkable. The beach was two blocks from the rental and the town was only a few blocks away. Our morning runs on the beach and evenings watching the sunset were the highlights of the trip. The Blueberry Store, the Michigan Maritime Museum, the coffee at Eclectic were other highlights. We definitely recommend checking them out!
We absolutely recommend this rental to others and plan to go back ourselves next time we have a few days. Everything about our stay was lovely and relaxing!
