                              Nice little place in Kerrytown

                              4 of 5
We stayed here for five day and quite enjoyed it. - The location was perfectly located in Kerrytown, which was a wonderful mixture of shops and restaurants. - The small flat was very comfortable, with great amenities of home, coffee maker, toaster, fridge, a cute bathroom, the layout was very European. Even though there was no stove, we were able to make due with the combination of a hot plate and toaster oven. - Having access to free off street parking came in very handy - wifi, stereo and television were perfect. - high quality linens and towels as well as health and beauty products were added bonus - The place was quiet as was the neighbourhood - the little porch patio at the front was a relaxing place to sit and watch the world go by - The Weds and Saturday Farmers market across the street was delightful, fresh food and crafts of all sorts to be had - storage space was adequate - the owner was magnificent to deal with, promptly answering any questions and flexible Overall, we would defiantly recommend it in the fortune to friends and family

                              Birthday Weekend

                              5 of 5
My husband and our two little boys rented this cottage to celebrate my birthday. With small children we were looking for a nice getaway, still surrounded by all the city amenities, and only an hour from our home, this was perfect for us. The cottage is very private and secluded in it's own little lagoon area of the lake, exactly what we were looking for. It has the full "up north" feel, without actually being "up north". The boys loved playing on the sandy beach and wading in the water. The canoe and paddleboat were enjoyed by all. We fished, we relaxed, we built sandcastles, we had a great time. The amount of chairs and different areas to sit on the property almost seems like you are at a resort. I greatly appreciate this house being pet free and seemingly free of scents/fragrances allergens with the little ones. We look forward to returning to this home, we had a wonderful three days but we could have easily enjoyed an entire week. The owner was extremely accommodating, inviting, professional, and a joy to work with. I am someone who reads reviews and but typically does not take the time to write them, but this property deserved to having another great review written.

Perfect for Parents... Too Many "Quirks" For Me

                              4 of 5
We had 10 family members visiting over graduation weekend, and they LOVED their time at the farmhouse. With that said, my husband and I (late-twenties) both agreed that we personally would not want to stay there. PROS: The owners are extremely nice and accommodating. The size and layout of the house is awesome, and there's plenty of parking for large groups. The amenities in the bedrooms and the house overall are convenient. The location and proximity to downtown is perfect. We also made great use of the grill and the sunroom. Overall, this is an extremely unique property, particularly for this area, and our family had a great time. CONS: Some things that could be considered charming or rustic just seemed dusty and kinda gross. We love B&Bs and renting large homes for gatherings of family/friends, so we know not to expect hotel-style amenities. However, the attention to detail at this property was lacking. After the "professional cleaning," I found myself wiping out the tub (found HAIR -- yuck), staring at huge cobwebs in corners, and scrubbing the stickiness off of the tables in the sunroom. We also tucked a few decorations that we thought were creepy in drawers, and our family removed the stuffed animals from the beds right away (seemed like germ factories). There was also this horrible odor, which turned out to be garlic that was left in the garbage disposal, when we first arrived. In addition, some of the spare linens for the home -- our family was there for five days and some wanted to change sheets -- were clean, but stained and had holes. None of these problems seemed big enough to contact the owners to fix, and our family just rolled with the punches. (After all, there were cleaning supplies available.) However these are things you expect to be done when you rent a property. You want it to feel like home -- just a nicer, cleaner version. With that said, I think the owners would have responded to these issues right away, but it didn't seem worth it. They weren't major to our family, but I still found myself apologizing for the inconveniences and a bit embarrassed for the oversights. If I were staying there, they would have majorly detracted from the overall experience.
