                  Great house

                  4 of 5
Pictures don't do this place justice. Had such a great time. Sand dunes were awesome. Rented a pontoon for a day my kids and grandkids had a blast!! Fishing right out the back door was great. Already thinking about going back next year! Thanks to Holly who really was great

Another amazing week at Sahara Sands!

                  5 of 5
This time we stayed, we had friends staying in the house right across the street (same owners rent the house across the street too, so it's great for big groups who want to stay near each other but can't all fit in one house). Staying in the house this week were four couples and six kids from 2-6. We all had space to spread out if we needed to. Some of the friends across the street even came over a few nights for drinks and to sit around the fire on the back patio, and we didn't feel cramped at all! On rainy days the kids had fun with the air hockey table downstairs and watching movies on the huge tv downstairs as it got dark. Yes, there is only one shower, but the 14 of us have never had a problem all getting our showers in without any frustration. (And we've stayed there before with more adults--still no problem). Plus, the big tub upstairs is great for giving the kids a bath if someone else is in the shower downstairs. While the kids play in the water, parents can enjoy the lovely view of lake Michigan through the window above! The picnic table outside is huge and can fit most of our group, plus there is another table on the deck which seats four, a kitchen table inside that can fit 4-6 (although we've often fit more people for poker games!), AND a big table in the basement. While the kids played I loved sitting on the deck, reading a book in the sun. Later, we rented a Jeep at Parrot's Landing and drove around the dunes. Staying at Sahara Sands is the perfect combination of relaxation and fun! We really had a wonderful time. I just got home yesterday and I can't wait to go back!

An absolute gem in the heart of paradise! Perfect!

                  5 of 5
Our group consists of several couples, all young professionals. The house itself is clean, stylish, and spacious, with plenty of common areas indoors and out for spending time with one another. The kitchen and main living area are perfect for entertaining indoors, with clear views facing west, right out over Lake Michigan. Wrapping around the kitchen and living area is a large deck, perfect for entertaining outdoors, and also with incredible views of the lake. In summary, the house does not disappoint at all, and compliments very well the surrounding scenery. As for location, this was by far our group's best rental experience yet. The house is nestled among the sand dunes, and it is just a short walk to a westward facing, soft sand beach - perfect for swimming, relaxing, and tossing a frisbee or football. We enjoyed perfect weather and the beach was a big hit for everyone - both all day and into the evening. In summary, everyone was thrilled with every aspect of the property and its surroundings. All in all, and compared to the other homes we've rented, there was not one reason for complaint by anyone in the group. We will return to the area next summer, and we'll certainly have our sights set on staying here again!
