Spent the Fourth of July weekend here and loved the amenities and location. Clean and well-appointed apartment with grill, deck, nice beds, and spacious kitchen. At the time of our visit, we were able to walk to end of road and get access to the beach: turn left at lake shore and watch for new stairs heading to beach. It was a new entry with no gate or 'keep out, private property' sign. Who knows how long it will remain accessible? Otherwise, only access to the public shore is go turn right and walk much further distance to Douglas Park. Two great restaurants to walk to: Zing for excellent lunch/dinner, and Saugatuck Brewing Company, one of better craft breweries in region with decent bar food and old-fashioned shuffleboard table. Downtown Douglas and its galleries is walkable and Saugatuck a short drive away. The owner, July, was very helpful with all requests, and also has a parking spot available for guests near downtown Saugatuck (where parking can be a challenge).
