The moment my FOTH (Friends of the Heart for 51 years) walked through the Azalea door into the wide hall, we gasped because of its welcoming aura - beautiful, comfortable furniture, perfect decorating, paintings, little what-nots, like a group of puppies that sat on our kitchen windowsill. The beds were soft and warm, the backyard an absolute secret garden with an eating place tucked into the soft greenery, and a place to just sit and read further on. It was spotless. Leslie was more than accommodating - warm and welcoming. Out the front door, a left turn, and in moments you were standing in front of Lake Michigan. A right, and a public access stairway leads down to the beach, the birds, the solutide and the amazing light of evening sunsets. It's an easy ten minutes to Saugatuck and Douglas with all their shops, eating places and museums. The grocery is five minutes up road. We'd like to recommend the Belvedere Home/Hotel as one of the best places we've ever eaten. We have been doing a trip a year since 1981, so we've seen, dined and been to many accommodations and places. We did take the enjoyable and informative boat trip around the lake and the Kalamazoo River. Would I recommend it to friends and family? Oh, my YES. I want it to be my home!
With best regards,
Isabel (Albuquerque), Patty (Carlsbad, CA), Madeline (Fresno) and Harriet (West Palm Beach).
