Nice condo - even in the winter!

5 of 5
We enjoyed our time in South Haven, visiting family in Bangor, Allegan, and Kalamazoo for Thanksgiving. This was a nice central location to everyone. The unit was clean, welcoming, and warm! Even with biting winds coming off the lake. We got 3" of snow one day; I was pleasantly surprised that the lot was plowed and sidewalks shoveled right away, considering the building was mostly empty. While I am sure the view is amazing in the summer, it was also breathtaking to see the icy waves roaring ashore in November!

Wonderful condo; bedrooms down a flight of stairs

5 of 5
This is a beautiful new condo right downtown. We loved the decor, well equipped kitchen and bathrooms, comfy furnishings and the owners were responsive to phone calls (the elevator was tricky). Since it was winter we couldn't enjoy the roof top area but I'm sure it would be fun to watch the boats in the harbor from up there. A few things to note that may not be of importance to you: * Even though we were on the 3rd floor there was quite a bit of noise from the live band in the bar * I hadn't noted that both bedrooms and the bunks were downstairs (we had a knee impaired person who found that difficult) * It was late November when we there and we had to turn the heat way up to get the downstairs warm... not an issue in the summer! Overall we had a great stay, loved the amenities and the location is unbeatable. Our favorite things (in winter): Lunch or dinner at the Hearthstone (near Muskegon), Tacos and Huevos at Sam's Tacos (near Culvers), bringing home fresh roasted peanuts from Fortino's, shopping at Talaquepaqi and Stefanos and, of course, a walk along the boardwalk and the pier.

Out of 5 Stars, I give this property 6.

The owners and managers of this property have raised the bar on hospitality, comfort, quality and aesthetics. My family and I had the great fortune to be among the first visitors of this lovely property nestled right in the heart of Harbor Springs. Everything about our stay was first-class. We were welcomed by a very service-oriented manager who navigated us around the charming space and pointed us to a very generous gift basket with wine and snacks for us and age and gender appropriate items for all three of my kids. Also, if we had literally not packed any toiletries, we would've been more than covered with bathroom cabinets filled with any item we might need. We wanted to take the kitchen with us: Viking appliances, butcher block countertops, beautiful back-splashes and top-of-the-line lighting made us dread going back to our own home. Condiments, coffee, and those food items you don't know that you need until you do were also stocked high in the cupboard. Great space and plenty of unexpected luxuries enabled us to enjoy making many meals at our temporary home. I say "home" because it felt more like a home than a rental property. Everything was well constructed and solid, including the furnishings. The space worked well for my wife and three young children, but mainly because we have a toddler who slept in our bed. Most people would likely max out at 2 adults and 2 children. We were so well taken care of. When I texted the property manager that we were having a problem with the A/C and that my wife had forgotten her hair dryer, the owner of the property showed up an hour later with a dryer in hand and a quick flip of a furnace switch to turn on the A/C. He couldn't have been more nice and thoughtful. We were super easy walking distance to everything Harbor Springs has to offer, including the beach, restaurants, coffee shop and just steps away from Yummies, the alluring ice cream shop. I can't wait to stay here again and would recommend it to anyone who appreciates nice, clean, first-class living!
